“Deserve ko ‘to”: How to Satisfy Your Holiday Impulse Buying

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Holiday bazaars have always been a staple shopping destination during the Christmas season. These events feature various options from toys and trinkets to RTW’s and food products that are locally made and proudly Filipino. People come to these bazaars for last-minute shopping and to find gifts that are perfect as either presents to their loved ones, or pasalubong for their balik-bayan friends or relatives. However, the problem that most holiday bazaars face is that they need to bring in something new and refreshing every year which would entice people to come over and shop. The World Bazaar Festival aims to break this stigma of bazaars and plans on being the “one-stop shop” for holiday fun and bringing something unique every year!

The World Bazaar Festival (WBF) is the biggest and most festive charity bazaar in the Philippines, and it is open for everyone of all ages. Visitors are drawn towards the World Bazaar Festival for exclusive discounts and unique items that are perfect as Christmas gifts. On the other hand, visitors have also come to the bazaar to see the exciting activities and shows that we have prepared for everyone to watch. There are many things that make the World Bazaar Festival very distinct from the rest of the known holiday bazaars. One key difference is the variety of products that World Bazaar Festival offers, from beauty products, accessories and perfumes to shoes, electronics, home decors and even gifts for your fur babies!

Another aspect that makes WBF stand out from the rest of the holiday bazaars is the wide range of activities that occur during the 10 days of the event. Aside from the different exhibitors and sellers present at the World Bazaar Festival, Worldbex Services International (WSI) has lots of planned shows and competitions. These activities, such as the POP Diva and Woobie’s CosWalk, are sure to make visitors excited for these unique events not found in any other bazaar in the Philippines. The World Bazaar Festival also boasts its interactive live-streaming online show called “Jingle Mingle”, a show that gives a shining spotlight to the different exhibitors present in the bazaar, giving them a platform to advertise and showcase their goods for visitors to be excited for. This type of format was never present in any other holiday event, making the World Bazaar Festival a trailblazer in creating a new way for online interaction.

The World Bazaar Festival is changing the culture of how bazaars are done in the Philippines, satisfying the Filipino trait of impulse buying during the holidays and adding unique experiences for bazaaristas to enjoy. This bazaar will make you believe that you deserve to have more and make the best out of the holiday season. So SHOP ALL THE WAY because you deserve this!

Angara underscores critical need for allied education professionals

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Education Secretary Sonny Angara recently shared that the Department of Education (DepEd) is coordinating with other government agencies to revise the current guidelines on expanding the pool of professionals to provide socio-emotional support to public school learners.

“We desperately need professionals who can shepherd and set up our students for success. We are currently working with other government agencies to relax regulations, allow psychometricians to come into the system, and temporarily fill the gap,” Secretary Angara said in a keynote speech during the Philippine Association for the Gifted (PAG) Conference.

The Education Chief emphasized that the country only has around 4,000 guidance counselor vacancies in basic education. He also noted that there are only 96 development pediatricians to serve 5.1 million learners living with disabilities.

“Our gifted and talented deserve not just cognitive acceleration but also socio-emotional support,” Sec. Angara noted.

As part of the agency’s initiative to help talented learners, the Department likewise noted that the budget proposal for the Philippine High School for the Arts and National Academy of Sports increased significantly to cater to more learners nationwide.

Meanwhile, Sec. Angara expressed his gratitude to the PAG for their support in developing and improving the public school teachers.

“Progress is a shared responsibility. Kaya nagpapasalamat kami sa PAG, for their offer to help train our public school teachers. Our goal is to further capacitate schools and teachers to assess gifted and talented learners effectively.”

PAG President Francis Dimalanta, MD., Dr. Kaye Napalinga, and former University of the Philippines Manila Chancellor Dr. Carmencita Padilla delivered their respective welcome remarks to the participants. Their attendance in the conference counts towards their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) completion.

Ross Del Rosario: Advocating for Renewable Energy in the Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

In a world increasingly defined by the urgency of climate action, few individuals combine media influence with advocacy as effectively as Ross Flores Del Rosario, the founder of Wazzup Pilipinas, the country’s leading online community blog. Known for his dynamic approach to journalism and storytelling, Del Rosario has not only highlighted the richness of Filipino culture and tourism but has also emerged as a staunch advocate for renewable energy.

The Visionary Behind Wazzup Pilipinas

Ross Del Rosario’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Formerly an ICT officer for the United Nations, he transitioned to become a media powerhouse with the founding of Wazzup Pilipinas. Under his leadership, the platform has grown into a credible source of news and features, with a mission to position the Philippines as a global hub for business, leisure, and sustainable living.

His deep-seated belief in the power of media as a catalyst for change is evident in his active participation in addressing societal issues—from government transparency to environmental sustainability. Renewable energy, in particular, holds a special place in his advocacy portfolio.

Renewable Energy: A Personal Advocacy

Del Rosario recognizes the Philippines’ immense potential as a leader in renewable energy, given its abundant natural resources, including solar, wind, and geothermal energy. Through Wazzup Pilipinas, he has tirelessly championed the adoption of sustainable practices across industries, communities, and households.

“Renewable energy is not just an environmental necessity; it’s an economic opportunity for the Philippines,” Del Rosario has often emphasized in interviews. His advocacy stems from a commitment to creating a cleaner, greener future for the next generation.

Leveraging Media for Change

Wazzup Pilipinas has become a platform for amplifying renewable energy initiatives in the country. Through articles, videos, and social media campaigns, Del Rosario has shed light on topics such as:

Solar Power Solutions: Highlighting community-based solar projects that bring electricity to off-grid areas.

Wind Energy Farms: Promoting the development of wind farms in regions like Ilocos Norte.

Geothermal Energy: Advocating for the expansion of geothermal energy plants in the Philippines.

Sustainable Innovations: Showcasing startups and companies at the forefront of green technology.

His efforts have not only raised awareness but also fostered partnerships between stakeholders, including local government units, non-profits, and private enterprises.

Influencing Policy and Public Perception

Del Rosario’s advocacy extends beyond content creation. He has participated in forums and conferences focused on renewable energy, such as the Asian Development Bank's Business Opportunities Fair. These engagements provide him with platforms to discuss the role of renewable energy in national development.

He has also been vocal about the need for government policies that incentivize renewable energy investments. “The government must provide the right framework to encourage both local and foreign investors to see the Philippines as a viable location for green energy projects,” Del Rosario remarked during a recent symposium.

Grassroots Impact

Del Rosario's work is not limited to high-level discussions. He has spearheaded community tours and workshops, educating Filipinos on the benefits of renewable energy. By combining his role as an influencer and advocate, he empowers everyday citizens to embrace sustainable living practices.

For instance, his Influencers' Tours in Rizal province have highlighted local projects that integrate renewable energy solutions, inspiring municipalities to adopt similar initiatives.

A Legacy of Sustainability

Ross Del Rosario’s contributions to renewable energy advocacy align with his broader vision for Wazzup Pilipinas: a platform that not only informs but inspires action. His ability to weave sustainability into the narrative of national progress has made him a key figure in the Philippines’ journey toward a renewable energy-powered future.

As the Philippines continues to grapple with climate challenges, the efforts of individuals like Ross Del Rosario become all the more crucial. His passion for renewable energy is more than an advocacy; it’s a call to action for Filipinos to harness their natural resources responsibly and redefine the nation’s energy landscape.

In the words of Del Rosario himself, “A sustainable Philippines is a thriving Philippines.” Through his work with Wazzup Pilipinas and beyond, he is ensuring that this vision becomes a reality.
