Wazzup Pilipinas!?
Manny Pacquiao has announced his retirement from boxing.
To the greatest fans and the greatest sport in the world, thank you! Thank you for all the wonderful memories. This is the hardest decision I’ve ever made, but I’m at peace with it. Chase your dreams, work hard, and watch what happens. Good bye boxing.
🔺 Only boxer to hold world titles in four different decades
🔺 Only boxer to win a title in eight different weight classes
🔺 25-7-2 (11 KOs) against former or current world champions
What a career!
Manny Pacquiao has indeed announced his retirement from boxing. Mainly because he is now eyeing the presidency in the Philippines. From a current senator, he now dreams of getting the highest position in government.
Pound-for-pound, one of the greatest to ever step in the ring. But does he have the same performance as a government official?
I love the tweep who wrote “No one cares.”

In realty, majority of the Filipinos, those belonging to the middle and upper class do not have the same confidence as they root for Pacquiao in the boxing ring.
Being literally almost a no-show in the Senate, as well as literally nil in terms of passing bills as a senator, Pacquiao could not be called an exemplary public servant.
Add to that his controversial beliefs and questionable religious interpretations, this boxer attempting to become a government official, business man, basketball player, TV host, singer, and a lot of other roles, has failed miserably to excel in everything except boxing.
You should also consider how he allowed his academic credentials to be arranged in such a way that he was able to finish a course within just a few months.
For all the naysayers like him, just keep the legends of sports keep passing you by. You'll regret it one day when you realize talking to your grandkids how you didn't appreciate sports ICONS of our time...
From extreme poverty to world class fighter to potential president of the Philippines. This would be the greatest sports story ever. Too bad for the Filipinos if he wins because he has a misguided heart and a stubborn head sane enough to realize he is not equipped enough to manage a country, especially after it was ransacked by a dictatorial foul-mouthed misogynistic, God-cursing, China-loving, gangster thinking, part-time talk show host who calls himself the president of 16million stupid and gullible Pinoys.
At the age of 42 following his defeat to Yordenis Ugas. He leaves the sport as an eight-weight world champion across four different decades, one of the greatest boxers of all time.
Boxers always come out of retirement. If Mayweather offered him a rematch and a guaranteed $150-200 million, he'll take that fight in a heartbeat.
In a statement he said, “The time is right for me to go. If times get hard I can always unretire at 50 and fight Jake Paul in a Tesco car park for $75m, so it’s all good.”
Until he's broke again. Then we're gonna get that "comeback" fight (as in he needs money to come back into his wallet)
Let me guess. Manny Pacquiao's first presidential act would be to go around the neighborhoods to punch out drug dealers and homosexuals. We've sort of heard that tune before...only a bit revised.
Imagine him saying "I'm a bad president!" then getting that 1, 2 holy combo!
