President Rodrigo Duterte slammed Senator Richard Gordon over what he claims is the senator’s seven-hour “talkathon” in the last Senate blue ribbon committee investigation into the alleged overpriced pandemic supplies.

Duterte targets Gordon, and hits him for talking too much. 'He just wants to talk and show the word he is a bright boy'

Senate blue ribbon committee chairman Richard Gordon on President Duterte's insults: Mr President, you are sworn to enforce and protect the Constitution…. You know why I forgive you? You go into personal attacks. Alam ko mahina ang taong nag-aatake nang personal. 

 Gordon on Duterte complaining that CabSecs were not given time to properly respond during Senate hearings: He is a lawyer, he should understand that. He was a fiscal for a long time. If he doesn’t understand that, then he’s a poor lawyer. 

Gordon: "Di ko maintindihan ang presidente natin. Sabi niya against corruption siya. So I’m following his dictum, na pag may corrupt, dapat labanan... The nature of the blue ribbon is to investigate."

Gordon to Duterte: "Sabi mo mahilig ako mag-talkathon. Eh talagang ganyan... Basta ako, what you see is what you get. Okay na ho sa akin, tama na ho yun."

Gordon on blue ribbon probe: Dapat bigyan ng atensyon ng Presidente [at sabihin] "O Lao, in-appoint kita diyan. Bakit ang laki ng mga binibili mo at di mo mapaliwanang sa blue ribbon?" Yun ang dapat sinasabi niya. 

As usual, we hear statements without substance or relevance coming from a supposedly president of a country.

This is rich. Coming from the guy who rambled his way through a nearly 3 hour SONA....and unfair sa mga chubby. Akala mo naman ay kagandahang lalaki si Duterte, eh wala sigurong salamin sa Davao o Malacañang noh.

What about you Mr. President , you are the real bad "talkathon".The senators spent hours only, while you have spent more than 5 going to 6 years talking about nothing but pure bullshit. Look at yourself before criticizing other people.

So obvious why this inutile president is so defensive of every corrupt official that whenever a senator, congressman, mayor, etc., would oppose him and his lackeys, he would not surprisingly rant against and attack their critics. Puro ad hominem lang, walang senseful rebuttal. Boils down to, if Duterte is sincerely into anti-corruption, he would allow the senate, same as the COA, to investigate and get to the roots of the "godfather" ng mga corrupt. He wouldn't even meddle nor be in any way affected. So, ALAM NA THIS!

The science of stupid, and reality of scamming, as epitomized by the president is in full swing. This will entirely be his undoing soon. The courts are waiting when the political tides will start to turn.

This person once said together with his "alalay" that they will eradicate corruption yet until the end of his term, he did nothing about it. Instead he criticized people who digs to the bottom of this anomalies. He even seemingly protects his erring and incompetent men. Why? He is most probably involved and benefitting more from the atrocities!

I'm betting most of his men will soon abandon him when the issues are fully exposed or proven. After all, his men's loyalty is highly questionable since they'll eventually be siding with whoever is the winning team. 

And now the end is near....Dalian na ninyo para malaman na kung sinu-sino talaga ang mga tunay na kawatan!

Using ad hominems usually means the attacker doesn't have any logical and sound reasoning thus resorts to "below the belt" atacks against another.

What can you expect from a Duterte who has been a scammer of a President? He has made the lives of Filipinos, except his kin, cohorts and allies, a sad story..

Is calling a sector or group as "heroes" is just "token appreciation"???

Pinapakinabangan at pinagkakakitaan ng gobyerno kasi kaya tinatawag na "bayani"

Ngunit patuloy pa ring kulang sa benepisyo at proteksyon.

Parang pagtawag din yan sa Pilipino bilang "resilient" para huwag daw tayong umasa sa gobyerno. In other words, kanya-kanyang sikap daw...and we should not expect daw our government to be better than what they are now.

However, we should be choosing only those who will put the country and its people above everything else. We deserve a government that will defend us again the wrongful (Chinese and other foreign) intrusions, a government that would listen and promptly act on to every concern raised by its people, a government that would be transparent and open to scrutiny and investigation (like the COA and ICC), a government that would respect each and everyome of us (No redtagging or branding as terrorists), and a government that will immediately step down and let others lead if they could not give justifiable answers to issues questioning their credibility and integrity (hindi yung balak pang tumakbo as VP at auditor).

Sadly, the current administration has been the complete opposite of everything that is qood and right.

Twenty two thousand three hundred sixty six in a day??? Take note we have face shield that is mandatory to wear because the government said it's helpful.

This notwithstanding the fact that we wear face shield religiously despite the absence of overwhelming research to back it up. 

We are clearly on the way to 20,000 COVID cases per day. No one to blame but Duterte, Duque and the entire IATF. With the seemingly uncontrollable COVID surge, we must heighten our resolve to demand accountability and an overhaul of government's pandemic response plan.

It is the Filipino people's job to look after themselves, but it is the government's duty to come up with concrete and effective plans in battling the Covid 19 pandemic.

One year of going back and forth to different quarantine classifications and yet everyday the number of cases are record breaking. god, it’s brutal out here and we definitely need to #OustDuterteNow!

This same pandemic has exposed the corruption and ineptitude of Duterte and his cohorts, putting in danger countless Filipinos for his criminal negligence and twisted priorities.

Ang tunay na pagpupugay ay sa pamamagitan ng pakikinig at pagtugon sa panawagan ng health workers! Posters for token appreciation? Our HCWs need something more significant.

The Duterte regime has funds for NTF-ELCAC red-tagging posters that praise health workers on national heroes day while actually neglecting the health sectors' demands and not spending on their benefits. 

The healthcare workers warned they stage “big mass actions” and “coordinated lockdown” if the government will continue to neglect them despite the hard work and the risks they had to face amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

It’s very painful to see the people fighting for us and saving our lives beg for the pay that they deserve.

It saddens me greatly to see our health-care professionals suffer and beg for the salary they deserve. They are credited as heroes by the government, but they continue to be treated as trash.

A policeman who was rushed to a hospital in Valenzuela City for high blood pressure threatened the health workers at the triage area early Sunday morning, according to the Philippine National Police. 

Duterte has elevated the military and the police economically and politically that even their very psyche thinks they're above everyone.

We're standing with our healthcare workers who have long been abused by an oppressive and unjust system, and even more during this new peak of COVID surge.

Good governance and leadership leads to good results, which the current administration lacks, so we Filipinos should learn to choose the right leaders.

President Rodrigo Duterte has accepted PDP-Laban's endorsement to run for vice president in the 2022 elections.  

We must oppose this. No to another six years of blatant incompetence, criminal negligence, political repression, and human rights abuses!

I thought he is already tired? I don't believe he cares for the people anymore.  I think this move is more on holding to power than to serve.

This is unconstitutional--but who's surprised? It's only one of the laws Duterte has broken on the last 5 years.

'GO SIGNAL TO INVESTIGATE': The International Criminal Court (ICC) through its outgoing Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda has requested for judicial authorization to proceed with investigation in the Philippines after concluding its preliminary investigation. 

"On the basis of that work, I have determined that there is a reasonable basis to believe that the crime against humanity of murder has been committed on the territory of the Philippines.. in the context of the Government of Philippines ‘war on drugs’ campaign,” Bensouda said.

In a statement, the ICC said that majority of the "war on drugs" victims support the ICC prosecutor’s request to investigate possible "crimes against humanity" in PH.

Its Judges will analyze all information received from the victims, and will "issue their decision in due time."
