Shanti Dope’s song Amatz has made it to the MCU via The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 3

Shanti Dope’s song “Amatz” plays during a scene in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

As our heroes enter Madripoor, Shanti's song started playing. Pinoy pride livering from there on.  

Is this the same song na pinapa-ban ng mga pulis or imbento lang ako?

Also I noticed during the credits that a picture of Madripoor can be seen with the words "Isang Mundo, Isang Tao." (The slogan of the Flag-Smashers in Filipino).

This only mean Madripoor could be based on Filipino Culture knowing Madripoor in the comics is based on an Asian community?

Though, I still think SEA nations in general and not just the philippines knowing that madripoor is a southeast asian island, like a fictional capital of SEA.

I just saw the map in the comics, and the spot where the island is located is like the spot where our country sits. Plus based from it's history, it was stated that it was once ruled by Japan. 

Winter Soldier said Madripoor is an island in the Indonesian archipelago, but they played a Filipino rap song to set the tone of the place. Not complaining, just saying. 

The major languages are English, French, and Filipino according to the Marvel database fandom wiki.

Well, geography wise. There is something wrong with it, but now we seeing and hearing Filipino Languages being used for Madripoor seems promising.

I can't wait for the MCU and networks to showcase some of marvel's SEA characters. Especially our very own. 

Damn lots of Filipino culture as plot points in a lot of shows im watching. Mark and Amber eating halo-halo in Invincible and now Shanti Dope. 

I wonder how PH feels about Shanti Dope’s Amatz now after hearing it on #TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier when not too long ago the government banned it from any media airplay.

Netflix and Shondaland announced on Friday that star Regé-Jean Page

will not appear of Season 2.

What? Is this some sort of cruel late April Fool's prank our mischievous Lady Whistledown has engineered?

Needless to say, without the Duke there is simply no Bridgerton. 

“Bridgerton” fans, the time has come to bid adieu to Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings.

No more Duke of Hastings? We’re officially heartbroken.

There better be a real good reason for Regé-Jean Page not coming back to Bridgerton! This news really ruined my morning!

I only watched because of him. He was integral to the whole series. So his wife should not appear...see I have forgotten her name.

Now I’m worried about Bridgerton...! I would definitely miss the poise & beauty of the Duke.

No more Netflix for me!  This is just too much! Yes we know it is about Anthony but they could have weaved his fine self into the story somehow!

I mean the second season is entirely focused on a different character and romance so..

It's Anthony Bridgerton's time to shine. You just gotta deal with it.

Not angry like most of the #Bridgerton fans...just a little upset...it was inevitable but... it happened so fast.

If you’ve read the books, you’d have known this. I’ve been expecting this to happen.

It makes perfect sense to me that Regé-Jean Page is leaving Bridgerton...to become one of the biggest stars on the planet in the next five years.

I was floored by his SNL appearance. He was flawless. He's so clearly a gigantic movie star! Let it happen. It just won’t be the same without the Duke! 

We flew too close to the sun on this one... We chiseled a Black Duke De La Horny that was, in fact, too horny to last. Smh.

I get it, Rege Jean Page is leaving Bridgerton so he has have more time to prepare taking over the role of James Bond. I can’t wait for the official announcement.

Also the second book focuses on someone else, so.

Season 2 of Bridgerton's gonna be real confusing for those of us who are here for the eye candy and who can't tell the three white Bridgerton dudes apart.

The show is based off of a series of 8 books by Julia Quinn and each book focuses on 1 of the 8 Bridgerton siblings. The second book is about Anthony, Daphne’s brother.

For anyone not more familiar with #Bridgerton, each book has a different Bridgerton sibling as the central character. Book (and series) one was all about Daphne. Book two is Anthony. Book three is Benedict. I haven’t read beyond that. But trust me, there’s still fun to be had. 

The book 2 of the #Bridgerton series is The Viscount Who Loved Me--Anthony's book. In the source material, Simon and Daphne barely made an appearance. It's Kate Sheffield's time to shine!

But not even a cameo or two in season 2?!! You can still be a big star in a little pond and contribute to something that thrust him into the spotlight and introduced us to his talent... just saying. I’m happy for him but I hope he stays humble.

Still sad, I'll miss his character in the coming stories. He's got fun parts in the coming books/seasons.

Rege-Jean recounts early conversations with Shondaland about his role on Bridgerton: “It’s a one-season arc. It’s going to have a beginning, middle, end – give us a year.” 

"The audience knows the arc completes. ... You can tie people in emotional knots because they have that reassurance that we’re going to come out and we’re going to have the marriage and the baby.” 

We've been bamboozled! The writers and casting knew that they could reel us into Bridgerton by having Regé-Jean Page just be fine AF on the screen. Now he's not gonna be in Season 2. What was the point of getting attached. We're upset!

Now that there’s so much negativity around Bridgerton, does that mean that they will have to start to give us all constant good news and amazing content to keep people excited? 

Dearest Readers, to mark the sad occasion of Regé-Jean Page’s exit from #Bridgerton - I’m starting a thread honoring all of the men whose make-or-break charisma shipwrecked their respective shows. Kicking it off with Travis Fimmel from Vikings. 

On the other hand, this isn’t the end!! the show still be there and we’ve plenty of characters to be entertained with. 

As sad as I am that there’ll be no Simon in season two I’m still just holding out hope for best buds Colin/Kate in Pall Mall.

#TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier: Halfway through the first season

#TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier Episode 3 is a blast. Continually impressed by the action Kari Skogland directs and the surprises this show manages to throw at you. Terrifically written dialogue, the acting is fun to watch, and this cast has a brilliant dynamic together.

Only because of Zemo dancing this show deserves an Emmy... Falcon struggling with finances, Sharon running from US government, Bucky dealing with PTSD while Baron Zemo was vibing at the club.

Zemo being sugar daddy to Sam and Bucky, sponsoring their outfits, travels in private jet and cool cars.

Episode 3 of #TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier was just WOW. I’m speechless. The intensity and surprises have definitely been dialed way up. 

Madripoor has such an aesthetic look & feel as well as includes the best cinematography in the show so far.

This nostalgic gem though made me laugh out loud.

It's the perfect mix of an action film, and indie mumblecore, and a call out to society! Daniel Bruhl and Emily Van Camp's additions and acting? SO GOOD! 

Everybody is talking about sugar daddy Zemo, but what about sugar mommy Sharon? The way Sharon Carter whooped those men's asses. She's alone and she defeated that many. Sharon Carter is one the strongest woman in the MCU. She needs to be more appreciated.

Let's talk about how Sharon gave her whole life for the Avengers just for them to forget about her. Sharon’s fight scene at the shipyard went so hard, need a Disney+ show of her life in Madripoor asap Marvel.

Yes, Sharon. Sam Wilson is definitely better off without a shirt. I’m really starting to like her. She better not be a love interest for either of them though. I’ll be so annoyed. But nobody told her to five finger discount that shield. Miss me with that.

Sharon f*ckin Carter is back and kicking asses. Yes, go off queen.

Sebastian stans ability to act with his eyes is unmatched! The fact that Bucky is a nerd makes me love him even more. No one could’ve played a better Bucky Barnes. For a split second whilst Zemo said the trigger words I thought Bucky would turn into the Winter Soldier again lmao.

We actually get Bucky fighting unlike in the movies where he was just shooting bullets. remember that before Hydra, bucky taught steve how to fight and he was a 3-time YMCA welterweight champion.

How did the notebook come to be in Bucky's possession? Did he pilfer it from Steve's effects or did Steve pass it along before he left Wakanda so Bucky could catch up or like...

I'm never getting over this.

Sebastian Stan is extraordinary!! He reconfirms himself as one of the best characters in the MCU.

I think we can all agree that Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson looks so good and for what? If Steve was America's ass, Sam is America's titties. Let's also talk about how fucking clean Sam looked in the suit!!!

I’m never shutting up about Sam in a suit. He looks so sexy.

The way Sam checks on Bucky like when he had to impersonate the Winter Soldier or when Bucky wanted to “go for a walk” makes me so soft. Steve could never have chosen someone better and more trusted than Sam to check on Bucky.

Not the team up we expected but the team up we needed. I can’t get ever how good Sam and Bucky looked in this episode. Now why did everyone drip so hard this episode?!

This series is a matter of perspective on who is good or bad. All the characters are fighting for a cause/belief and it's up to your own morals and values to decide which side you are on.

Where the villains are more likeable than John Walker. The most relatable moment was when John Walker threatened a guy and screamed "Do you know who I am?!" and was answered back with “Yes, I do and I don’t care.” It was total badass. The white privilege in that new Cap is astronomical.

A Filipino song “AMATS” by SHANTI DOPE was also featured here. When I heard it I was shooked then I screamed so loud and vibing to that song while watching.

Lupet! Nagulat ako nung nag play.

What a moment. Shanti Dope is now MCU Canon.

"One world, one people." Flagsmashers in Madripoor too, it seems. Or maybe there was a Filipino among Karli's group already and I haven't noticed yet.

For the 100th time, the episodes just keeps getting better! So happy to see my boi Zemo back in action. He’s awesome in this episode. Bucky, Sam & Zemo is the trio I didn’t know I need until now lol.

#TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier is honestly one of the best entries in the MCU and it’s only half way over. I mean there’s just so much compelling shit every week. It’s just so damn good man.

This episode was amazing! There was a lot of action scenes and a lot of twist and turns but I got to say the ending surprised me. Only 3 more episodes left. I can’t wait.
