Justice for Unionist Dandy Miguel: Dead after eight gunshot wounds

Dandy Miguel has been confirmed dead after sustaining eight gunshots from unidentified assailants.

Three weeks after the #BloodySunday raids in Calabarzon, Ka Dandy was reportedly shot 8 times by unknown assailants. Tinambangan ngayong gabi sa Sitio Asia 1, Brgy. Canlubang, Calamba. He was declared dead right after arriving at JP Rizal Memorial Hospital.

While millions of Filipinos starve amidst a new round of ECQ, labor union leader Dandy Miguel wearing the words, "Sahod, Trabaho, Karapatan, Ipaglaban!" on his shirt, was killed.

In less than a month, another Southern Tagalog civic leader and union man has been shot and killed. Dandy Miguel was one of the notable speakers in a forum held by Youth UNBOUND-Southern Tagalog last year. He was a union leader from Southern Tagalog and the 10th unarmed activist to be shot this month, three weeks after the murder of 9 activists during #BloodySunday. 

No warrant this time. Just a cowardly bullet to the head.

This is the 10th unarmed activist this month in CALABARZON region shot under the Duterte regime, 9 others were the murdered #Calabarzon9 3 weeks ago. 

They shot our labor leader Pang Dandy.

When you kill an unarmed person, that's  pure evil. You think you're God. The true God will avenge for the blood of the slain.

3 weeks after the Bloody Sunday in Southern Tagalog which killed 5 individuals and several mass arrests, the regime continues its bloody war against individuals and progressives. Until now, victims of the regime have not received the justice they deserve.

A civic leader is killed while an inutil president celebrates his birthday. Duterte gave shoot-to-kill order and 9 other activists died in Bloody Sunday.

I’m crying in anger and I rarely feel this. This is how useless our government is. Napaka palpak at walang kwenta ng rehimeng ito!

Let us continue to demand the justice for all the victims of the regime and to stop the attacks and killings! Reorient the funds of the people for financial aid and for mass vaccinations instead of these killings!

We condemn this act of worsening impunity that followed after the killings of our fellow organizers and activists under the Duterte regime. Furthermore, we call for an immediate investigation and justice.

This raped nation was forced to drink the blood of her own children, was forced to listen to the cry of her dying sons and abused daughters, and was stripped of all her rights, dignity, and sovereignty. They left her barely clothed, chained with shackles and blindfold.

I plead you, children of this raped and abused county. If there is any place for compassion and patriotism in your hearts, then listen to the bitter cry of this battered nation.

Jon Gutierrez and Jelai Andres: Once a cheater, always a cheater!

Jon Gutierrez also known as "King Badger" is on spotlight again. Not for some good reason but as a cheater who choose younger girl over Jelai Andres. You followed what your cock says, not what your heart says man. Wrong move!

Jon Gutierrez is the actual representation on why we shouldn't tolerate cheaters. If ever a guy cheated, we should never ever forgive that person no matter what bullshit he says because I truly believe that if a person cheated on you there is a 100% chance that he  will do it again.

I feel sad for Jelai Andres. She gave another chance, but Jon "King Badger" Gutierrez cheated on her again. 

Di ko lang magets bakit may kumakabit pa rin kay Jon Gutierrez. Hindi pa ba nadadala sa nangyari kay Toni Fowler?  I mean gorhl sinong hindi pa nakakaalam sa story nung dalawang mag-asawa tapos may kakabit pa rin?

Fuck off Jon Gutierrez!!! You are a complete jerk! Binigyan na ng chance ni Jelai with matching pagawa-gawa pa ng kanta tapos inulit na naman!? Anong klaseng tite meron ka? Ipaputol mo na yan!

An idea: Jelai Andres should just leave King Badger's cheating ass and join forces with Toni Fowler in destroying useless men who are clearly trash. We love to see hot women destroy toxic masculinity.

PPA enforces strict Covid-19 protocols, activates Malasakit helpdesks ahead of Lenten break

In preparation for the possible increase in the number of travelers due to the upcoming Holy Week, and to address the rise in COVID-19 cases, ports under the control of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) are now on ‘heightened alert’ to ensure that proper health and safety protocols are observed ahead of the Lenten break.

Special attention is also being implemented in ports located in the “NCR Plus” to guarantee that only authorized persons can enter and exit the facilities.

PPA General Manager Jay Daniel R. Santiago, as early as five days ago, already released the enhanced health and safety guidelines to be observed in ports to secure the movement of the local and international supply chains while at the same time safeguarding the belt for the passage sector in areas where interzonal travel is allowed.

*“It is a must for the PPA to strictly enforce all anti-COVID-19 measures to protect the sea-going public as much as possible during this Lenten Break and eventually this coming Summer vacation,” Santiago added.*

*“PPA is advising the public to make sure that they have the vital documentary requirements needed by their LGU of destination, particularly those coming from the NCR Plus bubble to avoid any inconvenience in their planned itinerary of travel,” Santiago explained.*

Based on PPA Memorandum Circular No. 08-2021 released last Monday, among the measures being imposed at PPA ports include:

1. Wearing of face mask and face shields
2. Conduct of temperature check
3. Keeping the PTBs and offices well ventilated
4. Conduct of frequent disinfection of PTBs and PPA offices and facilities
5. Frequent handwashing and use of alcohols and sanitizers
6. No PPA personnel and port users with COVID-19 symptoms shall be allowed inside the port, PTB and offices
7. Observance of appropriate social distancing
8. Only authorized persons outside their residence as defined under IATF Resolution No. 104 and DOTr Advisory dated 22 March 2021 shall be allowed into and out the ports.

Aside from these, PPA has likewise mobilized its Malasakit Help Desks in ports ready to serve passengers in need of assistance as well as required ship agents to provide and regularly update their passengers of their ships’ arrival and departure schedules.

For convenience, ports shall be equipped with First Aid services on a 24/7 schedule within the port; properly cleaned and maintained PTB facilities at all times particularly comfort rooms and washrooms; provision for drinking water; extra tents and chairs for passengers’ use while waiting in port.

For safety, all passengers are required to go through PTB security screening before boarding the vessels including the establishment of security-check fast lane services for passengers carrying minimal belongings, PWD, pregnant women or childbearing.

With the continuing guidance from the Department of Transportation, under the leadership of Secretary Art Tugade, a little sacrifice, understanding and cooperation from everyone will go a long way as we continue to rebound and fight towards recovery and progress,” Santiago stressed.*
