Ganap TV Digital Awards making waves at international scenes

International Celebrities are already looking forward to the 1st Ganap TV Digital Awards. This digital event will feature International Celebrities from the Netherlands, London, Turkey, Canada, India and other countries. The Ganap TV Digital Awards will honor International Celebrities for their participation in the previous episodes in which they took part in the program to inspire and give hope in the midst of the pandemic.


It's been one year already since the pandemic caused by Covid19. This is also where the Ganap TV Online program started where you can watch the program on Facebook and Youtube Channel. Global Fashion Designer John Guarnes and International Creative and Technical Director Bench Bello developed the concept and the Hosts/Producers of the said program. March 2020 during the lockdown, John and Bench thought of creating an online program and inviting their celebrity friends around the world affected by the pandemic. The digital program wants to encourage and inspire all viewers not to despair and have the courage to face such a situation. We are aware that many are depressed during this time. Because of the local and international guest celebrities of the program who provided comfort and inspiration so it continues to until this day. When the program started, there were so many Digital Programs emerged but only few programs stayed on air but Ganap TV still continues it with their programs such as The Digital Tandem of John and Bench, Dear Mamou V by Ms. Virgie Monton. Please also watch out for the new program THE PINK ROSE SHOW by Ms. Rose Tolentino Santiago Licup a Philanthropist and Socialite.


Successful and well-respected people were part of the jury, including Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque (Celebrity Lawyer), Director Larry Asistin (TSG Franchisor/Events Director), Benz Jandoc (CEO-BrandAsia Channel and BrandVentures), Sandra Kaczkurkin (CEO-Founder-Editor at Large WFMN) and Matte Laurel-Lifestyle Writer of Canadian Inquirer and COO for Ron Zalko Fitness and Yoga Club.

Recently, John and Bench were awarded as Best Hosts and Best Technical Director of FLAME INTERNATIONAL in London, UK. The Live premiere of the Digital Awards will air on March 20, 2021- 8 PM on their Social Media Account at Ganap TV Online. President Duterte to Grace the Quincentennial in Samar

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will unveil on March 18 in Barangay Ngolos, Guiuan, Eastern Samar the historical marker identifying the Philippines’ role in the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the world. This is part of the President’s itinerary in Eastern Visayas concerning the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.

Joining him in the unveiling is Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines Jorge Moragas Sanchez, National Quincentennial Committee (NQC) Chairperson and Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Senator Bong Go, National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Chairperson and concurrent NQC Executive Director Rene Escalante, Department of Energy Alfonso Cusi, and several other local chief executives and members of the 500 years committee.

In the same occasion the President will also inaugurate the electrification project in the nearby island of Homonhon.

Prior to this event, NQC and NHCP will mark the beginning of the Philippine part in the first circumnavigation of the world with the unveiling of a historical marker in Suluan Island, also in Guiuan, on March 16, 11 am. Spanish Navy training ship Juan Sebastian Elcano is expected to join the occasion straight from Guam. The said ship has been tracing the route of the first circumnavigation from Seville, Spain since 2019. She will be welcomed by BRP Apolinario Mabini of the Philippine Navy. The Municipality of Guiuan will also conduct a fluvial parade in the waters between Guiuan and Manicani Island around 4pm. The following day, the dignitaries and State officials will unveil another historical marker in Homonhon Island, still in Guiuan.

It was in Suluan where the Magellan-Elcano expedition, the first to circumnavigate the planet, anchored on 16 March 1521 from Guam. They landed for the first time in Homonhon the next day and on the following day, met our ancestors for the first time, offering them food and nourishment. The expedition arrived in these places with starving, dehydrated, scurvy-stricken, and undernourished for almost four months astray in the Pacific.

These events are closed to the general public. Meanwhile, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, concurrently the Chairperson of the quincentennial committee, instructed all government media institutions to maximize their assets in bringing the quincentennial events closer to the people through traditional and social media. Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar has also mobilized PCOO attached agencies to provide maximum support to the NQC. Radio-Television Malacañang takes the lead in covering the quincentennial events.

NHCP announced in 2018 that it would mark thirty-four (34) sites in the Philippines along the route of the said achievement of humankind and science. In the same year, President Duterte created NQC to prepare the country for these milestones which will end on October 28 at Sarangani Island. Collectively known as the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines (2021 QCP), the said quincentennial events include the 500th anniversary of the Victory at Mactan, the D-Day of the State-led quincentennials on 27 April 2021, and the 500 Years of Christianity, mostly spearheaded by the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy, respectively.
