The Medical City and Robinsons Hotels & Resorts take Healthcare and Hospitality to a whole new level

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR) has partnered with The Medical City to provide a seamless and convenient healthcare experience for every Filipino with its Hotel and Travel Care Packages. The Hotel Care Package 1 is recommended to those who plan to have their ECLIA Serological (antibody) test from The Medical City. This antibody test is a highly sensitive and specific chemiluminescent immunoassay test intended for identifying individuals with an adaptive immune response to SARS-CoV-2, indicating recent or prior infection. And since the result will be released within 24 hours, the patient has the option to wait for the results in the comfort of Summit Hotel Magnolia and Go Hotels Ortigas Center, which are 20 minutes and 8 minutes away, respectively, from The Medical City.

For only P4,200 net per person (single occupancy), enjoy an overnight stay in a single room with high-speed Wi-Fi, international and local TV channels. Packed breakfast is included. Just add P2,200 if you wish to stay for another night.

Package 2 (three days/two nights) is priced at P10,000 per person (single occupancy). Stay for two nights in a single room with full board (packed meals), high-speed Wi-Fi connection and international and local TV channels.

This package is ideal to those who are required to take the RT-PCR test, which is considered as the gold standard for confirming the presence of SARS-CoV-2, since the results will be released after two days. Just add Php2,300 net per person (single occupancy) to include private car pickup service from airport to hotel or hotel to airport. This package is designed for OFWs, seafarers and balikbayans, who are required to undergo swab test (RT-PCR) and have to wait for their test results and clearance to be able to return home.

Under the new normal, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts has elevated its standard of hygiene and cleanliness protocols with the “Circle of Clean” seal. Based on World Health Organization (WHO) and Department of Health’s new normal protocols, Circle of Clean provides a worry-free stay experience for RHR guests from pre-arrival to post-departure touchpoint implemented in all Go Hotels and Summit Hotels and Resorts around the Philippines.

In times of need, you can always count on your go-to hotels to do what they do best — hospitality. Hospitality is making your guests feel like they’re home.

WWF-PH appoints Katherine Custodio as new Executive Director

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines has named Katherine ‘Trin’ Custodio as its new Executive Director effective January 2021, succeeding Jose Angelito Palma.

Custodio has been with WWF for a decade. Prior to her appointment as WWF-PH Executive Director, she served as the Director of the WWF Asia Pacific Growth Strategy, a regional growth and investment program covering twenty-three Asia Pacific countries. Under her watch, WWF entered new markets in the Asia Pacific, grew its partnerships and supporter base, and more than doubled the level of funds going into conservation programs.

Custodio shared her excitement to return to WWF-PH, which she first joined in 2008.

“This is a homecoming of sorts and an extraordinary opportunity to bring to WWF-Philippines what I have learned from other WWF offices in the Asia Pacific region. Ultimately, it is the chance to make a bigger contribution to the country and to be of greater service to the organization’s objectives that convinced me to take the role. We have a wonderful team, a supportive board, great partners, and wins to build on. When one’s advocacy lines up with what one does for a living, the work is just so much more fulfilling. I do count myself lucky to have this chance. And I will be happy to talk for days with anyone about our work because it isn’t just ‘work’.” she said.

“As a new Executive Director, my challenge is to scale up the organization’s impact and drive the kind of change we need, to put nature in the Philippines on the path to recovery. We need to engage millions more Filipinos to be voices for nature, and to work with all sectors to make the way we produce and consume more sustainable. I am inspired by nature, especially the ocean and everything undersea. But beyond love for nature, our work is really about making all people benefit from the natural environment now and into the future, and most especially by those in poverty who are disproportionately impacted by climate change and environmental degradation. There is a hashtag I like and which expresses how I feel about this: #SanaAll.”

“I see our team at WWF as enablers, making a more sustainable lifestyle possible for all Filipinos. I urge people who can drive change to join us in facing the challenge because we have no time to lose. As a science-based organization, WWF provides the ecological perspective, and can bring together various players who need to be part of the solution. There is a lot of innovation in the environmental space, which is super exciting, and which needs help to scale. We have some really good work on fisheries that are helping communities in Lagonoy, Mindoro, and Palawan become globally-competitive whilst keeping fisheries sustainable. And momentum has been built on the work on water, food, energy and plastics. Donsol is a success story of eco-tourism, but the pandemic has been a setback to the industry. For the entrepreneurs out there, I want you to know that now is the time to do what you do best, which is to seize opportunities and answer a need in the market – to benefit people and environment alike. The policy environment is shifting in the right direction in some areas such as energy efficiency and plastics, and market forces can really help bring to life the benefits from those. I would love for us to work in partnership.”

“What underpins all our work are not new-fangled ideas, but values consistent with those we grew up with, like courage, respect, cooperation and very Pinoy values too, like malasakit and bayanihan. Young kids know that it is good to care for the home, to keep things clean, and that it is wrong to be wasteful and greedy. We teach our kids to share with those who have less and to speak up when something isn’t right. Our work on environment is an expression of these.”

No single sector or organization or country can succeed in reversing the decline of our natural capital on which we all depend. For us to have a shot, we need to move together and with urgency to #ChangeTheEnding to a better normal.

Intelegencia ends 2020 with incredible growth inspite of the pandemic

Wazzup Pilipinas!

After facing its most eventful and tough year yet, Intelegencia BPO surprisingly celebrated during the year end with its employees and partners.

The global pandemic, along with the corresponding GCQ, MECQ, and whatever quarantines or lockdown terms they called it that followed was truly challenging for the company because it brought numerous struggles since March 2020. The shutdown crippled both public and private transportation due to limitation in commuting and travelling, client business woes were plenty, and the restrictive “new normal” guidelines were some of the challenges that threatened to disrupt the productivity of the organization.

The HR outsourcing service provider proudly went through all these hurdles by creating admirable solutions one challenge at a time.

The BPO implemented a work-from-home arrangement and offered shuttle services to its work force after public transportation became unavailable due to the nationwide quarantines strictly implemented by the government. It went a further notch up by also investing in its very own shuttle vehicles.

Aside from the Year-End Party, Intelegencia also made the extra effort to create a happy environment for its employees through engagement activities designed to enhance and motivate their members' personal well-being. Some of this year’s projects include the Fitness Challenge, INTG Superheroes Contest, and the Music Icons Quiz Night.

Pandemic or not, it was still business as usual for the members of the company that offers international hr consulting services as we can't really afford to shutdown the world seemingly because of its global clients. Everyone in the team offered uninterrupted exemplified service to eventually churn out impressive results earning a client growth of 62 percent. The Intelegencia team even grew from 300 to 500 members by the end of this year. The onboarding of new partners, coupled with the trust given by their existing accounts, allowed this growth to happen proving that productivity comes naturally when the team members are given convenience and importance.

Donation drives to various communities affected by COVID19 situation and the recent typhoon disasters through the “Sharing Is Caring” program were also among the company's projects designed to help alleviate our kababayans sufferings.

2021 is hopefully the start of another productive new year for Intelegencia regardless of the continuing pandemic. Its management gives most of the credit to its notable success to its hardworking members. Founder and CEO Perry Chaturvedi was quoted saying “I didn’t know if we were going to survive as a company [and] as a group. But thankfully, Intelegencia globally survived. Intelegencia Philippines did outstanding this year.”

With that statement in mind, plus armed with fresh ideas and a newfound determination, the Intelegencia team is driven to face 2021 aiming to achieve even bigger goals.
