ISIS inspired BIFF attacked the town center of Datu Piang, Maguindanao

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Dulawan, Datu Piang Town Center under attack by 'alleged' ISIS inspired armed group. Latest report says security forces have started to mitigate the ongoing firefight.

Around 50 armed men stormed a police station  last night.

Army Chief Lt Gen Cirilito Sobejana said that police and military units have managed to control the situation—there are no reports of casualties as of this time.

Sobejana said combined units managed to repel the attack. "As of now, we are in control of the town proper," Sobejana said in a message. He once served as commander of the 6ID based in Maguindanao

Armed men allegedly belonging to the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters burned a police patrol car.

An activist and her baby jailed.

A mayor is shot dead.

Datu Piang, Maguindanao is under terrorist attack in the middle of the night.

Dark times.

Nah! It aint dark times its just another Thursday.

Our entire default reality is dark times.

Meanwhile, our state remains unbothered by red-tagging progressive organizations. This is the rippling effects of this draconian political climate.

Blazing fire in Notre Dame School in Datu Piang, Maguindanao. Is this ISIS-related? Their poblacion is surrounded by group of militants.

Residents report that the Church and the School is under fire, while no confirmed reports has reached the Police yet.

Datu Piang has had a long history of similar incidents with the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters where military operations as recent as March 20 last year has overrun their enclaves.

A 2018 explosion in the same place has killed two farmers while a 2014 explosion takes place in a buss terminal.

Clashes in a bridge project in 2016 has resulted in the death of 3 BIFF, while similar conflicts occurred also in 2013.

A bombing incident in July 12, 2010, has also killed a 7 year old, along with wounding 4 others.

With this long history of terroristic activity in Datu Piang, we are to see if the new "Anti-Terror Law" would have some teeth and strike some change in the situation.

Simple? They call it simple? Maybe because it has been a regular situation that it has been a common event for them.

Can we just not cause more pain and suffering other than what 2020 has already brought?

Laguna mayor Caesar Perez shot dead inside municipal hall

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Los Baños, Laguna mayor and former vice governor Caesar Perez, who was included in President Duterte's narco list, was shot inside the municipal hall tonight. Sources said he was critical.

The mayor was declared dead by attending physician at around 9:25 p.m., according to police report.

People were gathering outside HealthServ in Los Baños Laguna where Mayor Cesar Perez was rushed after being shot in the municipal hall around 9pm Thursday. Laguna Gov.Ramil Hernandez later confirmed Perez died.

The number of dead mayors under this administration is unprecedented. Hoping  justice for him and all the victims of EJKs.

It's alarming that people like government officials, lawyers and judges -- who uphold current laws and perform the 'most legal' of all activities -- can get killed like this.

End the culture of impunity!

As of February 2019 pa lang, 12 mayors and 7 vice mayors have already been killed under Duterte admin.

Even among the ruling class, the fight for power is becoming messier and bloodier.

Quarrels among the ruling class reveal the deepening crisis in our political system, which the masses must take advantage of to strengthen its own power and advance its legitimate interests.

We know this Mayor here. It is pure baloney to link him to drugs. It's a convenient excuse and this is what makes this country dangerous as you can be easily linked to drugs without basis or proof. Kapag gusto kang patayin, that's it! Pero mga real drug lords are still comfy in their mansions or out of the country.

Kapag nalalapit talaga election, iniisa isa nila. Mga duwag! amp!

Ano ulit yung true meaning ng DDS? Davao Death Squad!

Operation Debold, na naman? Laglagan na!

The brazen killing of Los Baños mayor Cesar Perez right inside the municipal hall is distressing news for the nation in general, and for the residents of LB in particular. May the truth and justice surrounding this terrible incident be urgently pursued.

The mayor has been an influential figure in making Los Baños into what it is today. Los Banos, Laguna lost a father figure tonight. Rest in Peace and thank you for your service and love for Los Baños, Mayor Perez.
