Beauty Queen-Actress Turned Singer Charo Laude Launches Inspirational Christmas Single

"I can't believe I'm already a singer!" proudly exclaims Charo Laude Calalo, also the reigning Mrs. Philippines 2019, during her recent singles launch held at  Supreme Restobar (fornerly Ka Freddie's) along Tomas Morato in Quezon City. 

She sang the carrier single of an upcoming Christmas album. "Himala'y Laganap", an original composition by Theresa Aguilar & Abe Hipolito, happend to be timely to what we are experiencing right now with the health pandemic and series of disaster typhoons. 

Her inspirational single is also a gift of hope that no matter what happens, one must never lose faith for a miracle. 

Another Christmas classic song that Ms  Charo is fond is "Miss Kita Kung Christmas", popularly covered by her singing idol, Sharon Cuneta, Sarah Geronimo with a version by Carol Banawa as well. 

“Actually hindi ako pressured na ikumpara ang version ko kila Sharon or Sarah G kasi mga idol ko sila. Sabi ko nga noon kapag naging singer ako, gusto kong maging tulad nila Sharon or Sarah Geronimo. I am not pressured at all."

Ms. Charo also rendered her cover version of "Miss Kita Kung Christmas" to the delight of the media and other guests. She gave justice to the iconic song originally sang by another golden actress, Amalia Fuentes. 

She says Christmas is very important to Filipinos because we have the longest Yuletide season and kapag Pasko, it's all about being together as a family. Her clan is originally from Tanauan, Batangas. 

"I recorded the song only last October, so it's very fresh. We plan to release a CD January next year that will feature more original songs and some covers."

We also asked Ms Charo what her fondest Christmas memories are and the Yuletide song she wished she personally composed. 

The 44 year old beauty queen was also part of the highly-rated Kapamilya afternoon teleserye “Kadenang Ginto.” A former Binibining Pilipinas candidate, Ms Charo  was a proud  member of the German Moreno's teen variety program “That’s Entertainment” on GMA 7. Her batchmates in the daily show include actress-beauty queen Patricia Javier and now Manila Mayor Isko "Yorme" Moreno..

Aside from her blooming singing career, Ms. Charo is the national director for the Mrs Universe Philippines pageant, which annually renews their local franchise. 

During the Mrs. Universe finals held in China, Ms.Charo bagged the special award Mrs. Universe Popularity 2019 and made it in the top 18 semi-finalists out of 94 candidates.

“Pero next year na ang pageant. Gusto kong ma-feel din ng mga contestants ang live pageant show,” she points out.

The "Himala'y Laganap" single launch was hosted by singer Lance Raymundo who also informed Ms Charo that his older singer-brother Ronnie was impressed with her singing and intends to collaborate a song with her soon to the utmost surprise and appreciation of a our singing beauty queen!

If you find that the car has remaining outstanding finances before purchasing it, avoid purchasing the car. If still you purchase that car and the finance company proves your fault, the company can rightfully claim the vehicle.

Even though the seller provides you with all proof and payments of the financed car, still buying such a car is avoided at any cost.

The car belongs to the company as long as the payment is not settled. If you become the owner of the car after purchasing it through the seller, you will inherit the debt that the finance company demands to get settled. In concern with this, if you have paid the money to the seller, then you can consult with the court to demand justice which will acquire investment to justify.

It is essential to have every evidence that you possess regarding the purchase of your used car involved in outstanding finances. These proves will make your case more reliable and clear.

The scene where I cried the most: Karl admitting he's gay & he loves Vlad to Tito Santi(The uncle whom he trust the most.)

It wasn't easy, he's afraid. 

Someone out there feels the same too. 

Karl, you're braver than everyone else thought.

What Tito Santi said got me right straight through the heart. The feels were too real. It was a kind of pain every gay guy fears of. 

Grabe no. Every gay person out there would wish they had a Tito Santi growing up.  They wish they had someone to tell them it's okay to be gay. They wish they had someone to guide them. 

I really loved how Karl was given a chance in #GayaSaPelikulaFinale to actually tell his own story. I loved how it unfolded right before our eyes--when he came out to Tito Santi and Vlad, to starting to pursue his dreams, which is to make films. 

Sobrang relatable nung sinabi ni Tito Santi na his achievements are invalidated just because he's gay. it hurts because some queer compensate for their sogie by becoming achievers only for those achievements to be in vain because of what they were trying to compensate for.

Really felt Tito Santi and Karl's moment. I know the feeling of being so afraid and also know how other people think of gays, with certain limitations. But like what Tito Santi said "nasaktan lang ako pero nasaakin padin lahat ng achievements ko" 

Pero di bale. Thank you sa gay twitter sa totoo lang kasi ito yung nag educate at patuloy na nag eeducate sa kanila. You make them brave.

Tito Santi takes the prize for making us cry. Pay respect to your elders. They had it much harder than us, and yet they chose to pave the way for us.

"Love is really unbeatable. No one knows when will it gonna come. You'll just suddenly realize that "Oh! I'm in love."

The way karl confesses his feelings to tito santi is the bravest things he made. I said what I said.

Tito Santi was right—how some of the peeps sa community tries so hard for achievements just to compensate for their SOGIE.

The fact na people invalidate their achievements JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT HETERO.

I have so many LGBT friends and I know, in one way or another, naranasan din nila yung ganoong klase ng struggle—not being good enough despite doing your best kasi hindi ka straight, being afraid to embrace kung sino ka at mahalin kung sino yung taong gusto mo.

It's now up to us to ensure a better future for the queer kids that will come after us. Fight. Walang patitinag.
