Wazzup Pilipinas!

Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and Youtube… This list of apps could follow almost infinitely if we were to list the tools that you are used to using in your daily life, right? A recent study revealed that there are between 60 and 90 apps installed on the average smartphone.

However, when it comes to monitoring your marketing strategies through mobile platforms, things get tricky. There are not many specific apps for these professionals, given that most analysis software is administered through desktop platforms.

In this article, we outlined the best tools to create, analyze and optimize your strategies on your phone! But, before jump straight into the apps and their features, we want to explain why have high-quality content is key for any time of businesses.

First, we can say that today the production of content serves as the basis of the relationship between companies and their customers. This started to exist when a new consumer profile emerged, more informed, connected and demanding.

The potential client conducts research, seeks opinions and evaluations, gets informed and creates relationships with the brands. Therefore, offering relevant content means showing authority, experience and empathy with the customer.

Here are some more advantages:

As companies produce content, their relevance in search engines increases. This means conquering the first pages of research;

The more relevant content there is, the higher the interest and browsing time of users;

The conversion rate, which shows the number of visitors that turns into leads, or potential customers, increases as trust is aroused through the content;

The reach and visibility of the brand on social networks also increases due to the sharing of relevant content;

Increases engagement between customers and the brand, contributing to increased sales and revenue.

Now that is clear why you should invest in high-quality content in different platforms, let's see what the best apps that you can use to assist you in this task are:

Canva

Function: creating graphics and images

This app is the loved one and most popular among content creators. In addition to social media posts, you can create proposals, presentations, brochures, business cards, animations and many other things. It has an incredible variety of fonts, graphic elements and super creative templates, as well as leased and wave text functions. There is a free version that comes with several features. If you don't have a designer in-house or Photoshop skills, this is the app to go.

One of my favourite apps and with the complete functions. If you need to schedule posts on different networks, Later is the right choice among applications for managing social media. Being able to be used both on the computer and on Android or iOS phones, it allows you to schedule posts on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.

The operation is straightforward: just create the text of the post, send the image or video and schedule the publication, which can be edited while it has not yet been posted. It is also possible to reschedule the posts. One of the best features is the schedule of Instagram Stories, which makes a marketer's life much easier.

Asana

Function: project and team management

This project management app that allows you to organize your workflow and align it with your entire team. Track tasks and projects by notifying everyone involved and follow the work from start to finish. In times where remote work is the new normal, keeping track of the tasks and the communication flow become more crucial than ever. For example, a mobile app development agency, which has projects that involve a variety of teams, such as UI/UX design, development and marketing, needs to make sure the communication is clear and everybody is onboard. This also applies to many other types of businesses in many industries.

Tugade Wants Consortium to Give Beep Cards for Free to Commuters

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur P. Tugade recently gave orders to key officials from the DOTr rail and road sector to ensure that the consortium that operates the automatic fare collection system being used in the Metro Manila rail systems and on the EDSA Busway to just give for free the stored value cards or “beep” cards to commuters once they buy the load for the fare, even with the minimum amount they need.

Secretary Tugade lamented that commuters who are still reeling from the effects of the pandemic have to shell out an additional PHP30 to PHP50 for the price of the beep card on top of the initial fare load.

“Dapat libre lang ang card. We are still under quarantine measures. Workers who have just returned to work are the main users of the rail system and the EDSA Busway. Malaking bagay para sa mga ordinaryong manggagawa ang P30-P50 na ikakaltas para bayaran ang card ng Beep. Pasahe din ‘yun. They should be spared from the burden of having to pay the price of the beep card on top of their fares,” Sec. Tugade said.

Secretary Tugade and senior officials of the DOTr met yesterday, 30 September, to discuss the issue of the beep card cost which is being passed on to commuters, on top of the fare or the stored value on the card.

The DOTr officials unanimously agreed that the cost of the stored value card should not be passed to the commuters as the department ordered AF Payments, Inc., the consortium composed of conglomerates Ayala Group and First Pacific Group to just give the cards for free. Commuters should also have the option to load the card with whatever amount he needs for the fare.

As part of measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the DOTr has ordered the enforcement of a cashless automatic fare collection scheme on public utility buses that ply the EDSA Busway route starting 01 October 2020. The cashless fare collection scheme will be using the beep card.

Aside from buses plying the EDSA Busway, the beep card can be used to pay fares in LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 train lines, and some point-to-point buses, as well as modern public utility vehicles. Fare is deducted from the card once it is tapped at a fare collection machine.

The EDSA Busway, which became operational on July 1, covers bus stops along the middle lanes of EDSA. It runs from Monumento, Caloocan to the PITX or the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange.

Passengers can purchase beep cards in LRT and MRT-3 stations, in all Metro Manila branches of FamilyMart as well as in bus terminals such as HM Transport in Alabang Town Center and Market! Market!; BGC Bus in EDSA, Market! Market! and Bonifacio One Technology Tower; and RRCG in Alabang Town Center, Greenbelt 1, Greenbelt 5, Star Mall Alabang, and Starmall Shaw.

The beep card is valid for four years. Commuters can reload their beep cards in LRT and MRT-3 stations, FamilyMart and Ministop branches, outlets of Bayad Center and their affiliates, or via Over-the-Air or OTA loading partners such as BPI, Eon by Unibank, Akulaku, and Justpayto.
