Before, I just wanted a MacBook Pro, like the one the rich kid got for his online class, but dad also bought me an ultra wide curved LED screen. I wanted a rotating office chair, too, like what he has, but dad bought me an automatic reclining chair with a touchscreen console.

On a serious note, DepEd and CHED should recognize that online learning only accentuates classism in education.
Classism is prejudice against or in favor of people belonging to a particular social class.
Unless everyone is well-fed, has the basic resources to comply to their requirements, and is not risking exposure to the virus, pushing school opening during this pandemic is a disservice to their constituents.
Academic freeze is for students who can't afford laptop and/or internet services for online classes; also considering the increasing number of covid cases, face to face classes are not ideal. Printed modules? Yet DepEd expects parents to go to the school to pick them up. Hello, the virus is still out there. You want parents to risk going out and get infected, and then infect their families when they get home? It's not that we don't want to our kids to study, it's the circumstance.
Why can't these people understand that the best thing to do now is to freeze the academic year?! We are not asking you to freeze it because we're lazy. We are asking because it's ineffective, there are lots of factors to consider, teachers are also having a hard time, not just us.
Your reason of not freezing is because education should not be stopped? Don't you realize ineffective is as good as nothing.
Even modular for lower years is not effective especially in rural areas, it's just burdening the parents. What if their parents don't know how to read and write? Then what?
You're doing this for the youth? For their future? Then, why are you not hearing our pleas? We are the ones having a hard time, not you. You don't get to decide for us.
