Duterte in Perpetual Isolation, #LetLeniLead

Roque says President Duterte is now in "perpetual isolation," undergoes regular PCR testing for #COVID19.

What does “perpetual isolation” mean? Is this not an admission that Duterte is UNFIT to fulfill his JOB as President? Should not the Constitution be followed and the Vice President take over?

Mars, if for any reason that the Miss Universe cannot fulfill her duties, the 1st runner up shall take over.

This is alarming. If the Pres is no longer physically able to lead then #LetLeniLead as mandated by the constitution. Duterte  should let go of power, habang meron pang natitira sa Pilipinas.

With the "best President in the Solar System" in "perpetual isolation" as a precaution for his health (which they insist is "fine"), isn't it about time he let someone who knows what they're doing to take command of this godforsaken country?

When former presidents are ill or going abroad for state visits etc they always assign the VP as acting President until he/she returns. Won't Duterte being in "perpetual isolation" affect his ability to govern the country? But they are all too scared of her.

Putting the president in "perpetual isolation" makes him incapacitated to perform the duties of his office. Pagod na pagod na ang presidente, #LetLeniLead na

Lol so ganyan lang? Perpetual isolation, without disclosing to the public his actual state of health? If he dies, are they going to hide that from us too?

If the president is physically, mentally, or psychologically unfit enough or unable to lead then the vice president should take over #LetLeniLead

Don't give us this perpetual isolation shit and then do nothing else about it. That's tax payer money hes burning through!!!

VP Leni not only knows how to listen to an actual expert but understands and grasp the real situation, what needs to be done and where to focus and prioritize.

She truly is the leader our country badly need and deserve.

It could have been worse kasi nga po complete lockdown ang nangyayari sa atin."

Roque is f*cking romanticizing every shit happening under Duterte administration. This is toxic positivity at its worst.

Pangalawa, LANG? That's almost half, millions of people jobless, tapos kebs ka?

Nagagalak ka pa na 45% pa LANG ang nawawalan ng trabaho? Parang statistics lang yan sayo ah samantalang yung iba hirap na hirap humanap ng paraan para makakain.

Filipinos shouldn't have to be resilient, if the government didn't inflict this social, health, economic, and political disaster upon us.,

I really hope that filipinos who lost their jobs won't see this news about "45% pa lang" statement, nakakalungkot na nga saming hindi nagtatrabaho pano pa kaya sa kanila, fire Roque please he's not good for every Filipinos' mental health.

Are We Going Back to GCQ or Extending the MECQ?

Roque says President Duterte will push through with his public address tonight for the fate of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite. These areas have been under MECQ the past two weeks.

Remind ko lang po kayo that the shift from GCQ to MECQ is NOT the action plan. It’s supposed to buy the govt some time to create an ACTUAL plan to address the rising covid cases, overworked frontliners, & poverty.

BAKIT PARANG WALANG GANAP???

Dahil in PERPETUAL ISOLATION daw yung PWEHsidente?

Meantime, the UP-OCTA research team recommends an extension of MECQ in Metro Manila: "If we lift the MECQ prematurely, we will be need to deal with the outbreak in the NCR entering a phase of uncontrolled and very rapid growth."

UP OCTA Research Fellow Prof. Guido David says the COVID-19 cases in the Philippines may reach 210,000 by end of August if areas with high number of COVID-19 cases will remain under MECQ, and 230,000 cases if these areas will go back to GCQ.

Though let me also remind these experts that their "extend MECQ" narrative will only work if NCR (37.5%), CALABARZON (14.8%) and Central Luzon (9.3%) does not constitute for 61.6% of the Philippines' GDP. If your "expert advice" will be followed, the Philippine economy will crash.

It will rise anyway because the cases of LSI's found positive only in the provinces cannot be contact traced anymore as the shipping of these people goes on defying basic quarantine practice.  Right hand preventing the disease, left hand spreading the virus!

What Metro Manila and the rest of the country need right now is effective contact tracing, mass testing, and economic relief for those who are barely surviving this pandemic. Without these, MECQ extension would become just a band-aid solution.

MECQ or not, it's just the same if no concrete action plan exists. We're basically on our own. 45% unemployment rate. People fighting for survival now. It is a choice between dying due to hunger or due to the virus.

Regardless kung ano i-announce ng gov't bukas for Metro Manila... MECQ, GCQ, etc...
Keep practicing social distancing, washing your hands, and face masks/shields, and avoid going to crowded places. If you would, be sure to practice all the health protocols EVEN IF OTHERS DO NOT.
