Cebu Pacific Launches Three New Flights from Clark

Cebu Pacific (CEB) new flights from Clark are now operational. August 9 was the inaugural flights going 4 times weekly to and from Narita (Tokyo, Japan), and daily to Iloilo and Bacolod, all direct from Clark. By October 16, it will also add Clark to Puerto Princesa, and back, among its new routes.

CEB is the first Philippine carrier to mount direct flights between Clark and Tokyo, largest in terms of capacity by end 2019, capturing 28% of total number of seats offered by all carriers operating in Clark.

Cebu Pacific President Lance Gokongwei led the media launch together with DOTr Secretary Art Tugade and other executives from different government and private organizations, including Alexander Lao, VP for Corporate Planning of Cebu Pacific.

The aim is to fly 200 million passengers vy 2020, and 300 million by 2022, enabling more Juans to travel conveniently and affordably through year-round low fares. The airline also expects to receive over 60 more aircrafts in the next eight years.

DOTr Secretary Art Tugade has praised the airline for its support to the transport industry, specifically to his agency, and also mentioned additional good news in terms of transportation developments within the country.

There were also statements of increased tourism activities for both Philippines and Japan residents.

The airline also announced the opening of its cadet pilot program with "study now, pay later, zero interest" especially for residents of Clark and nearby areas. Application will run from August 9 to 18.

Chairman Ramon Vasquez gave his heartfelt congratulations to all awardees and his staff for a very successful and glamorous awards night.

The Global Awards for Marketing and Business Excellence maintains itself with integrity and loyalty, with eagerness to acknowledge excellence in different crafts and fields, combined with the desire to help through advertising, marketing and promotion to move potential companies to boundless heights and to be among the elite circle of achievers.

Mu Sigma Phi Sorority to Hold Brilyante 2019

In celebration of the 85 years that have passed since its humble beginnings in 1934, the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority has continued to uphold a legacy of unparalleled sisterhood, self-denying service, outstanding scholarship, and dedicated leadership both within and outside the walls of the UP College of Medicine with a line-up of events to empower the geriatric community under its advocacy of Aging and Longevity, including the much awaited Brilyante.




The first Brilyante was a benefit gala dinner and fashion show directed by no less than one of the country’s most celebrated fashion directors, Mr. Robby Carmona. It was held in 2009 in celebration of the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority’s 75th year with distinguished designers, celebrity models, and prominent physicians from the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority and Fraternity all gathered as one, braving the runway in tribute of the women who have fought or are continuing to fight the battle against cervical cancer.




Now on its 85th year, Brilyante 2019 is joined again by Mr. Carmona and it aims to celebrate women empowerment and a beauty that knows no age limit. The fashion show will feature works from some of the country’s most prominent and promising designers namely Albert Andrada, Mak Tumang, Michael Leyva, Rajo Laurel, Edgar Madamba, Nina Inabel, and Rustan’s. Proceeds from the benefit event will be going to the Institute on Aging of the National Institutes of Health, assisting in its efforts to develop 27 national geriatric centers across the country through health and human resource training.
