STATEMENT OF DOTr SECRETARY ART TUGADE ON THE XIAMEN AIR INCIDENT
18 August 2018


“I am saddened by the inconveniences and consequences brought about by the incident involving Xiamen Air. 
 
It is a regrettable experience, which is not of our own liking, nor of our own making. I am sorry. We did our very best to address the situation.

This incident served as an eye-opener-- a reminder for us to take a second look at the processes, procedures, and protocols of concerned agencies, as well as airlines, so that we may all improve in the future.

More importantly, through this incident, I personally witnessed the dedication and “bayanihan” spirit exhibited not only by public servants from CAAP, led by Director General Jim Sydiongco, MIAA, led by General Manager Ed Monreal, and the DOTr, but also those of third parties who offered their assistance, including the private sector, volunteers, and other airports such as Clark and Subic.

Again, on behalf of the entire DOTr Family, I am deeply sorry.”

Proclaiming Jesus Music is a pioneering production, a group of young people gathered to share their desires to glorify the name of Jesus through music. Not only through the form of singing but also through the realm of arts as a God-given talent. PJM aims to showcase each individual to use their talents and creativity as a form of thanksgiving and praise to the God who gave them their unique potentials.

This production has opened a new door to introduce Jesus to the world by their upcoming concert with the theme "Just Jesus" that will happened on August 19, 2018 at Tayuman Commercial Center, Santa Cruz, Manila. This concert will also feature different artists and young people from different churches, all gathered together in one event to worship Jesus. These are:
