Space-saving coffee table designs for contemporary homes

Wazzup Pilipinas!

In the present day world, a lot can happen over a cup of coffee. So it is needless to say that a coffee table plays an integral part of the contemporary home. From cafés to modern day homes, coffee tables stand as a symbol of an age-old platform of conversations, old friends catching up, new friendships being forged, families starting their day together.

But as life falls short of time, letters turn into emails, our homes shrink in size. But our hearts don’t. Not our traditions. So keeping the trend alive, the following flourish of furniture is crafted to fit in, furnish our homes with a taste of elegance as good as the cups that adorn them.

PUP JME launched its newest flagship event entitled, Markcamp: Detecting Devices of Strategies last November 27, 2017 at PUP Manila Bulwagang Balagtas. Bunch of knowledge-hungry marketing management students swarmed the event even before the registration started. The doors opened at exactly 11:30. Different faces from different blocks, professors, universities, and some representatives of Philippine Junior Marketing Association were present in the said event.  They were different in many ways, but if they have something in common, that’s their eagerness to learn.

Upon entering, the crowd was serenated by an all PUP Marketing indie band. The segment was called “Jambayan” which set the right mood.

The generosity of their corporate partners was felt in the entrance.  The crowd was welcomed with different snacks ranging from biscuits, cakes and soymilk courtesy of Monte Philippines.  Who wouldn’t love freebies?

The program was opened by Rencel Iglesias Iglesias through his Doxology and Philippine National Anthem. Mr. Dennis Sajo, the host, pumped the the audience by his energetic vibe. Call was rolled, screams were heard.

A few moments, Justine Lim was introduced.  He is the sales and marketing director of Linkage Foods and also the co-founder of Zap, he started with the topic of basic marketing ranging from what he knows and to what he has experienced. He was passionate. He was realistic, but I think what made him be the man he is today is his humility. Mr. Lim opened the eyes of the future marketers of what the real world is all about. And he was so generous enough to give 5 winners of their sponsored online contest a box of Monte Sponge cake each.

After the crowd  had settled, Ms. Chiqui Escareal - Go was introduced. She is the president and chairman of Mansmith Fielders Incorporated. Upon her entrance the crowd was stars trucked. She was lovely and witty as well. She started talking about Anthropology and how it can be related to Marketing.

Hawk bags sponsored a game called Brandwars. Students will be given a category and they have to give certain brands. 5 students battled out to win a 3,000 worth Hawk Backpack, and Jeric Macaraeg won the said game.

The crowd was so excited for the talk of the Keynote speaker, Mr. Josiah Go, the most respected marketing guru in the Philippines, the President and CEO of Waters Philippines. Everybody paid attention. Everybody listened. All eyes and ears were on him, everybody knows why.

Sponsors’ booths were all lined up for the distribution of goods. Everyone is so excited to get their second batch of treats from their generous corporate partners. Sponsors have played a great part of the Markcamp’s success.

The students received sponsored goods from Peckish, Gardenia, Nutrisoy, Monte, Dove, Head and Shoulders, Win2 Potato Chips, Nutrisoy, Snippet Media and a book courtesy of Mr. Josiah Go and Ms. Chiqui - Escareal themselves.

The PUP Junior Marketing Executives would like to thank all the corporate partners, the organizers, the speakers, the faculty, and those who supported the Markcamp.
