Honda Is Ready to Excite the Roads Ahead With Their Newest Underbone, Sports & AT Models

Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) recently unleashed the unique experience and excitement in urban riding as it reveals its newest underbone, sports & AT models- the All-New XRM125 series, All-New RS125, and New Zoomer-X.

Speaking before the members of the media on September 11, 2017 at the Honda Safety Driving Center, HPI President Mr. Daiki Mihara said the new models are assured to intensify Honda’s commitment to bold and exciting changes in its extensive & complete line-up of products in terms of unique Filipino design, high performance, latest technology, and joyful riding experience. “We want Honda riders to feel the power of their dreams by experiencing the models’ performances that are specially made for their own riding needs. These may include daily commutes to work or hang-outs, racing for the sports models, or trail riding adventures for the off-road models.” 

Eventhough it was raining that day, some media also got to try the latest motorbikes at the media challenge and test driving activities held at the Honda Safety Driving Center in Paranaque. I would have also tried them out but I just couldn't stand the rain because I get sick easily if I get wet or drenched, Being under the weather is not good especially for us who frequently go out to cover events.

Regardless of the missed opportunity, we still admired the impressive new looks and improvements done on the latest versions of their three series. The looks alone could very well translate into a sale already. We all know that riders do appreciate looking cool and the durability offered by the brand throughout its many years of existence speaks highly of their motorbikes.

The Philippines’ number one underbone motorcycle, the XRM125 – Conquer Your Own Road, has been redesigned to give its riders a compelling urban riding experience. It comes in three new variants: Dual Sport (DS), Dual Sport Extreme (DSX), and Motard. Each variant takes design inspiration from the sturdy, aggressive and motocross-inspired bodyworks and graphics of the Honda CRF250. From the body color to engine performance, the All-New XRM125 is among Honda’s engineering masterpieces for all urban riders. 

For riders looking for a sporty and thrilling experience on the road, the All-New RS125 – Start the Excitement – is the perfect match for them. Its new sporty decals, refreshed body design, and a new fuel-efficient engine makes it your top choice compared to competitors of the same class.

But the biggest news is at the core of these two Honda motorcycles. The All-New XRM125 and All-New RS125 are now powered by a fuel-efficient and Euro 3-compliant PGM-Fi engine, so you can achieve more riding control while still reducing exhaust emissions.

PGM-Fi engines were pioneered by Honda as early as the 1980’s, and are now furnished in its latest models with enhanced features that gives riders an edge in terms of efficiency and maintenance, as the engine is equipped with sensors that measure throttle positioning, engine oil temperature, crank shaft position and intake of air temperature and pressure. This makes the engine efficient as it can calculate the exact amount of fuel needed based on the sensors’ readings, which avoids excessive usage and saves 6.7% more fuel than the carburetor type. These sensors can also optimize maintenance by detecting possible abnormalities in the system, which is notified to the rider through the Malfunction Indicator Lamp.

Finally, Honda’s most stylish scooter gets a splash of new colors. The New Zoomer-X makes your life more colourful with the addition of Mat Axis Gray Metallic and Heaven Blue Metallic. The New Zoomer-X retains its trademark Honda Smart Technology’s PGM-Fi engine, Idling Stop System, and Combi brake.

The All-New XRM125, All-New RS125, and New Zoomer-X are now available in all Honda flagship stores and 3s shops nationwide.

Jose Mari Chan for SM Supermalls Countdown to 100 Magical Days of Christmas

You'll know that it is the start of the Christmas season when you see Jose Mari Chan guesting on shows already.

The man has become one of the iconic representations of Christmas due to his many memorable Christmas songs, aside from his many other memorable and widely used songs outside the season. I'm betting that many generations know the man through his popular songs that have made OPM a lot more interesting.

SM Supermalls knows that fact and thus it was not surprising that he was the surprise guest at the #SMagicalChristmas countdown to 100 Magical Days of Christmas. We were fortunate to have him on our video singing a few lines of one of his popular songs, and finally doing the iconic Wazzup Pilipinas shout-out.

He also promised to give everyone in attendance at the event his latest Christmas album, Now that's a great treat aside from the cute Teddy Bears of Joy that SM gave us that day.

Also present at the event were two children who also sang with him on one of his adorable songs making the performance a lot more sweet and cuddly just like the teddy bears that surrounded the entire venue.

True enough, it seems like Christmas is extra special at all SM Supermalls because aside from the many sales, we get a lot of bonus attractions by way of special events like Meet and Greets, Toy Fairs, Mini-Concerts, and many other activities making every visit truly memorable, especially for the children.

Christian Bautista Kapit Album Launch

Christian Bautista has always been one of my favorite Filipino balladeers ever since he joined a singing competition on television. His voice is uniquely distinctive and he definitely has the good looks to match that would make him a perfect entertainer. Of course, we prefer a charming face to go with that soothing voice.

I'm sure girls are swooning over this guy for both his pleasing personality and voice. It is great news to know that after a few years he has again come out with a new album. We know he has the following to push for more album sales since who would get tired of hearing his songs? May it be a cover or original composition, Christian Bautista's music will always linger longer.

Congratulations to Christian for the Kapit album launch held on September 20 at Universal Records office at Universal Towers located in Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. The event was attended by several members of the media from traditional radio, TV and print to the new media composed of bloggers, vloggers and a lot more.

The album contains 12 songs with Kapit as the highlighted song. He jams with Morisette Amon, Eunice Jorge, Jessica Sanchez, Gabbi Garcia, and Jennylyn Mercado. It would have been fun if one or two of these ladies were there at the album launch too but it was mentioned that he would also have another album launch cum concert happening at the Music Museum on September 29 where fans would get a free album out of the Php500 ticket. That's actually a great deal already since the album already cost Php300 each making the concert a big bonus for only at Php200.
