The True Masters of Dota 2 Shall Rise at the Manila Masters

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"A master is the epitome of his profession, exhibiting skill par excellence, greatness above all else.

In the world of DOTA 2, where the title of greatest is so fleeting and glory hangs on split-second decisions, this excellence is proven only in the battlefield of champions. The title of Master must be earned."

The press accreditation process for the upcoming Manila Masters is officially open, and we are proud to announce that Wazzup Pilipinas has been invited to cover the event this coming May.

The Manila Masters is the Philippines’ latest international Dota 2 tournament and is a collaboration between local organizing body MET and the multinational ESL.

It will gather eight of the best teams from all over the world here in Manila, where they are set to duke it out for pride, glory, and the lion’s share of the $250,000 prize pool from May 26-28, in the SM Mall of Asia Arena, in front of some of what many people consider to be the best fans in esports.

Among the confirmed participants are The International 2016 champions Evil Geniuses, three-time Major winner Team OG, and Shanghai, China's Newbee, originally dubbed as the Dream Team 2.

The Masters will surely change the competitive Dota 2 landscape as we know it.

The Pochologist Talks About Taking ACTION

Wazzup Pilipinas!

What’s the secret to achieving your goals?

Is there really a “secret”?

A person who wants to lose weight knows they need to diet and exercise. Someone who wants to start a business knows they need a business idea and a business plan. Someone who wants to travel the world knows they need to map out their route and check for the travel and accommodation details.

In other words, we almost always know what we need to do to achieve our goals. But knowing what to do is very much different from DOING WHAT YOU KNOW, and that’s where most people find themselves stuck. Between the knowing and the doing, we have doubts, limiting beliefs and fears that keep us from taking that first step towards achieving our short-term and long-term goals.

In this video, the Pochologist shares a simple yet powerful way to take action on a daily basis to achieve your goals. He talks about setting “immediate goals,” so that each day takes you one step closer to fulfilling your dreams.

As a highly sought-after Filipino motivational speaker, Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales takes inspiration and motivation to a higher level as the Pochologist. Believing that inspiration and motivation has expiration, Pocholo uplifts your spirit through EMPOWERMENT – giving you actionable, practical wisdom that will take you from knowing to DOING.

Ph Telecoms Summit Day 1 – DICT to Cut Red Tape to Expedite Improvements in Ph Telecoms

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The very first Philippine Telecoms Summit concluded the first of two days, March 9, 2017 at the PICC Forum.

The whole day event was attended by top telecoms stakeholders, coming from the consumers’ side, the providers’, and the regulator’s. Headed by the Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Secretary Rodolfo A. Salalima, the panel was gathered to put into light issues that hinder the positive development in the country’s telecoms services in the aspects of cost, speed, and coverage, and to find solutions for each.

Seven days – that should be the number of days to process licenses and permits for putting up infostructure and infrastructure necessary for telecommunications. Two more days may be given for the local chief executive to decide whether to approve or deny a permit, but if after that no decision has been made, the permit should be deemed approved. Secretary Salalima is confident that if this recommendation of his is followed, the Philippines will be looking at improvements on the telecoms services just after six months.

“Solutions with no deadlines are no solutions at all,” Salalima emphasized during his speech and reiterated the same over the discussions that followed. Thus, he set a deadline as mentioned.

The Summit was lined up with presentations from various key personalities and groups, and highlighted by two “Tapatan” sessions, the first of which focused on issues concerning the consumers, providers and the regulators, while the second delved into issues regarding infostructure and infrastructure.

The second day of the PH Telecoms Summit will feature talks on issues regarding competition, and a presentation of the summit’s outputs.

Follow the Summit as it happens via livestreaming and use #PHTelecomSummit to join the discussions.

You may access the article, speeches, and presentations from Day 1 on the DICT Website.
