Mr. Gay World Philippines Ambassadors to Help Raise Funds for HIV Advocacy

Wazzup Pilipinas!

LoveYourself Inc., in collaboration with Mr. Gay World Philippines (MGWP), will be hosting Cherry Poppin' - The 3rd Party on 25 February at the One Canvas Events Place in Makati City for the benefit of the organization's testing clinics and community centers.

Already on its third year, Cherry Poppin' is a fundraising activity indulging guests with man-date auctions, a fashion show of the creations of Don Cristobal and Jaggy Glarino to be styled by Syper Abel, and a rave party.

A donation of PhP300 grants an admission to the event inclusive of a free drink by just logging in at http://go.loveyourself.ph/cherrytickets.

MGWP 2016 runner-up winners Khalil Vera Cruz and Bench Ortiz are set to grace the event with Vera Cruz participating as one of the auctionees party guests (donors) can bid on.

Vera Cruz says that more than scoring a date, he hopes that the guests would be able to understand the significance of the project, which is to help raise funds for the organization.

"I’m glad we have this kind of project where we can raise funds and be able to promote awareness about HIV and AIDS…I am always hopeful that someday HIV and AIDS will be a thing of the past," he said.

Taco Bell Cheesy Core Burrito

Wazzup Pilipinas!

For only Php139, you can avail of the Taco Bell Cheesy Core Burrito, and if you'll pair it with nachos and soda, it will only cost an additional Php40 making your bill Php179 only.

That's not only value for your money, but also a fabulous dining experience as you snack on a really cheesy treat from Taco Bell.

I personally had the chance to taste it only a few days after it became available at all branches of Taco Bell. At a bloggers' event, we were served the irresistibly delicious Cheesy Core Burrito which was indeed so cheesy to the core - red nacho chips smothered with Taco Bell's signature three cheese blend and nacho cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla surrounded by seasoned beef, Mexican rice, cool sour cream and red sauce wrapped into a burrito.

You would be salivating soon after seeing these yummy photos below:

I must admit that I wanted more after eating one piece of this Cheesy Core Burrito. I definitely love the cheese-filled core of this burrito from Taco Bell.

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Jr. NBA Philippines 2017 presented by Alaska holds its second Regional Selection Camp this weekend, February 25 and 26 at the Manuel Enverga University Foundation University Site in Lucena City.

The two-day selection camp which starts on Saturday at 9 a.m. will give boys and girls aged 10 to 14 years old the chance to join a learn-and-achieve camp that will test their physical and basketball smarts through NBA style skills tests and basketball drills. At stake are slots to the Jr. NBA Philippines National Training Camp that will be held in Manila from May 12 to 14, 2017.

On the first day, participants undergo vitals tests and skills challenges where their scores in vitals tests and individual skills challenges will determine if they will return the following day to undergo more basketball drills and team exercises. On the second day, the remaining participants undergo team drills and get to show off their team and individual skills in the final scrimmages.

Jr. NBA head coach Craig Brown together with local Jr. NBA coaches led by PBA Legend Jeffrey Cariaso will evaluate the players based on their vitals tests and skills stations scores. The most outstanding young players in Lucena will represent Southern Luzon at the National Training Camp and get the chance to be selected as members of the Jr. NBA 2017 All-Star Team.

The National Training Camp is the third phase of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA program where eight Jr. NBA and eight Jr. WNBA All-Stars will be chosen from among the top participants in the regional selection camps. They will embark on a unique, overseas NBA experience together with fellow Jr. NBA All-Stars from Southeast Asia later this year.

Boys and girls born from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2007 are encouraged to take advantage of the NBA’s international youth development program where they can learn not only the proper basketball skills but also the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA S.T.A.R values of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, a positive Attitude and Respect.

After Lucena, the Jr. NBA Regional Selection Camps will next go to Cebu on March 11 and 12. The last Regional Selection Camp will be held in Manila from April 1 to 2.
