Forcepoint Launches SureView Insider Threat in Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Global cybersecurity leader Forcepoint announced on September 7, 2016 that its latest offering, SureView Insider Threat, a powerful, proven security tool that accelerates companies’ efforts to prevent data theft and loss from hijacked systems, rogue insiders, stolen credentials and negligent end users is now available in Philippines.

A media launch was held at Makati Shangri-La Hotel led by Alex Lim, Channel and Alliance Director (APJ) and Regional Sales Director (SE ASia), who discussed the 4 pillars of solutions provided by Forcepoint's integrated products - namely content security, insider threat and data protection, security for cloud, and network security. Joshua Kooh, Strategic Security Consultant, Forcepoint South East Asia, emphasized that it is also important for a solutions provider to be able to resolve a problem the fastest way possible.

SureView Insider Threat lets security professionals see early warning signs of abnormal behaviors, capture a video record of desktop activity and intervene before sensitive data gets breached or stolen.

Now that it is available, SureView allows companies in Philippines to spot risky behavior and activity across their enterprises, delivering better security and increased regulatory compliance while respecting privacy. For nearly a decade, technology in SureView Insider Threat has served U.S.-based enterprises and government agencies in detecting and responding to insider threats. It was a core technology transferred from Raytheon to Forcepoint when the company launched.

International Coastal Clean-up at Las Piňas – Paraňaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Every September, several countries, including the Philippines, participate in a largest global volunteer effort on behalf of the ocean. The International Coastal Clean-up (ICC), according to Presidential Proclamation No. 470, is held annually every 3rd Saturday of September, which aims to educate and encourage citizens to take action and help conserve the diversity of marine life.

On the 17th of September, people will gather on beaches, coasts, rivers, waterways, and under water dive sites all over the world to remove trash and debris and identify their sources. The data gathered is used to raise awareness, inspire recycling efforts, and shape policy decisions.

This year, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) - NCR will be celebrating the International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) along the coast of Las Piňas – Paraňaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area (LPPCHEA) on 17 Sept. 2016, 6AM.

There will be a short program at the Freedom Island of the Las Piňas – Paraňaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area to signal the celebration of the ICC.

After the short program, the clean-up drive will be conducted by around 3000 individuals from
various NGOs, volunteer groups, school and college students.

To all those who will participate, we advise you to wear long sleeves, jeans, and a cap for it is hot and sunny at the area. Avoid wearing bright colors so the birds in the area won't be distracted since it's migration season.
