“Stay alive. Stay hungry.”
In this year’s Tanghalang Tikom, the annual silent theatre arts competition for junior Communication Arts students of the University of Santo Tomas, witness the spectacular debut of Silakbo Productions as they proudly present: “Deadma” written by Derly Shayne Joven, Ericka De Guia, Gabrielle Columbres, Ana Mia, and Danielle Montayre.
Breathing does not mean you are alive.
Deadma explores the dark comedy genre, featuring an indifferent mother and five peculiar personalities in a wake setting. In the midst of eccentricity and strange encounters, the mother who is devoid of any passion, learns that desires make us human. People have appetites they cannot control and this is the definition of their existence.
Produced by Yasmin Olga Salamanca and directed by Bianca Navarro, Zekiel Carbajal, Arianne Pineda, Ness Olitoquit, Jane Bron, and Sophia Amolador, Deadma will teach the interrelation of extreme hunger and honest living. This will be staged on May 20, 2016, with the time slots 1pm, 3pm and 5pm at Rm. 11A, Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building, University of Santo Tomas.
