Galileo Celebrates 10th Birthday on July 4

For 10 awesome years, the Galileo Enrichment Learning Program has been enriching 3-12 year olds, discovering and unleashing their amazing powers in Math, English and Singapore Math, nurturing them into academic achievers and overall wonderful kids.

To celebrate 10 years of fun learning, they have lined up a series of special events. For moms, dads and kids, they shall hold the Galileo Fun Fair, a 2-day festival of activities for the whole family at the Glorietta Activity Center, Ayala Commercial Center, Makati.

For teachers, educators, school directors, administrators and owners, they have lined up the 3rd Singapore Math Learning Festival (SMLF). Aptly themed “Preparing for the Future: Creativity and Innovation through Singapore Math”, the whole-day learning conference shall focus on the latest thinking and techniques in Singapore Math and technology to train teachers to become more effective math instructors in the classroom and mentors to kids for the challenges of the 21st century.

Over 300 participants and guests are expected to converge on July 4, 2015 at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM),Conference Center, Benavidez corner Trasierra Streets, Makati City.

Be Safe When the Weather Turns Wild

Safety is the best policy. 

The Philippines is no stranger to the strongest and wildest typhoons that pass through the Pacific every year. Dealing with tropical storms, rains, and other weather disturbances is part and parcel of every Pinoy’s life beginning in May.

With the advent of the rainy season, motorists must prepare for the worst-case scenario when it comes to their vehicles. Vehicles take a lot of beating during the wet, wild, and dangerous rainy season, so cars, trucks, jeeps and vans must be in tip-top shape before they are ridden.

1. Listen to weather reports. Check out newspapers, television, radio and the interneteveryday to have an idea about the weather. If it’s raining, look for alternative routes that are not susceptible to floods. If possible, postpone your trip and wait until the weather clears. 

2. Check everything thoroughly.Look for leaks, broken lights, or dangling wires. Double check your radiator, engine oil, wheel alignment, and tire pressure. Always bring a bag or container with an umbrella, flashlight, car tools, and even a mini-radio. It always pays to be prepared in case of an emergency.
