Hansel and Gretel: A Pre-Father's Day Treat All Set on June 8 at Eastwood Mall Atrium

In line with the forthcoming Father’s Day celebration, EASTWOOD MALL and Kids Acts Philippines shall present ‘ Hansel and Gretel ’ on June 8, 2014 --- 3 p.m. at the Eastwood Mall Atrium. Free admission for everyone!

Hansel and Gretel will come to life on stage through colorful sets, props and costumes, beautiful songs and music, and most of all, the genuine portrayal of the professional theater actors ages 7 to 14 years old from Kids Acts Philippines.

Hansel and Gretel is the musical play for children wherein Kids Acts Philippines intently integrated the most important learning abilities of children called the eight multiple intelligences. The play incorporated every intelligence type in the specific scenes to enable children appreciate the total importance of learning while being entertained by the play. This musical play for kids and by the kids is an advocacy to augment the interest of kids in performing arts.

2013 Gawad Buhay!: The Philstage Awards for the Performing Arts

Now on its sixth year, Gawad Buhay! is the first-ever industry awards exclusively for the performing arts. Outstanding individual and group achievements in various artistic and technical aspects of play, musical
and dance productions and performances are honored based on quarterly citations deliberated by the jury who are required to watch all productions of Philstage member-companies for the entire year.

From the four quarterly citations, the jury selects the final nominees qualified to win the awards by the end of the performance season. Awarding ceremonies will be on JUNE 6, 2014 - 7:30 P.M. at the CCP - Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino.
 
Philstage is the only alliance of professional performing arts organizations in the Philippines. Its members include Ballet Manila, Ballet Philippines, Gantimpala Theater Foundation, Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit, Peta, Repertory Philippines, Tanghalang Pilipino, Trumpets, Actor’s Actors Inc., 9 Works Theatrical and Philippine Opera Company.

The event features a cooking demonstration for easy to prepare recipes that both moms and kids can enjoy preparing.

Moms can also spend time at the face painting station with their kids and have a matching face décor with their children. There is also a Vintage Party Station set up for those who want to play tea time, which is one of the favorite games of the little ones. Kids can also unleash their creativity in designing their own plates in the Design Your Own Plate station. The winning design will get produced and the winner will get to have his/her own set of the design. And, bonding moments won’t be complete without the keepsake.
