Is Shopping for Groceries Online Feasible in the Philippines?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

While online shopping remains a force to reckon with in hard financial times, the question of whether online groceries is a reality or simply an attempt by the multi conglomerates to rip you off. There are many technicalities in terms of food handling when it is delivered, let alone when it is cooked. This article will discuss if online grocery shopping should become a common aspect of everyday life.

In terms of accessing groceries, it’s an easy task if you live in the suburbs or in the city. Heck, even if you live in the remote area, you can still access some kind of general store. Online groceries are for several types of people:

● There are these people who are too lazy and who would rather watch TV than go to the supermarket
● There are the individuals who are too busy working until late to go to the supermarket
● There are people that want to save time by avoiding the queues and the rush in the supermarket aisles
● And of course, there are people who want specific products but who are unable to access it in remote areas.

All in all, it seems like a pretty easy option. But people aren’t convinced about the whole idea. After all there are several questions that need to be answered;

-Will the food still be fresh?
-How much will I pay for delivery?
-Do I still get a rewards card?
-Do I get discounts as well?
-Will my orders arrive on time?

CALABARZON Escapes Late Western Visayas Onslaught, Sets Championship Date with NCR

San Beda-CALABARZON almost blew up a 16-point advantage but regrouped just in time to beat Hua Siong-Western Visayas, 81-74, in their Palarong Pambansa Secondary Boys Basketball semifinal showdown at the San Luis Sports Complex in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

CALABARZON once held a 42-26 lead late in the second quarter, but second half rallies by Western Visayas trimmed the lead to as low as one, 75-74, on a Leo Bayotas tip-in with 1:10 remaining in the game.

Bayotas had a chance to give Western Visayas the lead, but he missed a lead-changing three-pointer with 49.6 seconds left.

E.J. Furaque grabbed the loose ball and made two free throws after being fouled to increase CALABARZON's lead to three.

Spencer Pretta then tried his own luck from the outside, but his corner three clanked. Franz Abuda rebounded the ball, and Ralph Penuela got tagged with an unsportsmanlike foul for the dangerous defensive play against the son of former PBA player Freddie Abuda.

Red Robin Lugo Shines as Bullpups-Powered NCR Dethrones Central Visayas in Early Finale Rematch

The NU Bullpups may have made up the core of the NCR team playing in the secondary boys basketball competition of this year's Palarong Pambansa, but a Malayan High School Red Robin stepped up for the Big City right when it needed the most.

Noah Lugo provided the clutch leadership for NU-NCR as the team made Sacred Heart-Central Visayas relinquish its championship won last year in the semifinal round of the basketball games at the San Luis Sports Complex in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

Lugo kept the Magis Eagles-loaded squad at bay in the final moments of the match after the latter cut NCR's 13-point late third quarter lead to just three midway through the fourth.

He dished out crucial assists to fellow Red Robin Justin Serrano and NU standouts John Cauilan and Manuel Mosqueda, grabbed a crucial steal with 30 seconds left, and sank three free throws in the end to seal the 90-80 win.
