Mactan Airport and LRT-1 Cavite Extension PPPs to Proceed; MRT-7, Common Station, ITS terminals also approved

Various approvals for 7 major transportation projects were given the nod by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Board today, 21 November 2013, including the implementation of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 7 project, and the bid out of the Light Rail Transit (LRT)-MRT Common Station and two (2) Integrated Transport System terminals.

Also approved were the proposed improvements to the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) PPP project, the revisions to certain economic terms of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension (Cavex) PPP project, the acquisition of an 82-meter Vessel for the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and minor changes to the Puerto Princesa Airport Development Project.

Wales Rally GB, the final round of the 2013 FIA World Rally Championship, lived up to its reputation as one of the most complex events of the season. The mud and extremely slippery Welsh forest tracks proved a gruelling test for the drivers, but the soft-compound Michelin Latitude Cross S3 enabled them to produce some outstanding performances and put on an exciting show for spectators.

This is an event that traditionally throws rain, wind, fog and sometimes even snow at competitors, but this year’s weather conditions proved less delicate than expected. Even so, the sky remained threatening and the temperatures were chilly throughout, and the absence of rain had a direct influence on team strategies since the crews had to contend with big differences in the amount of grip they encountered compared to what they had come across during their rainy recce earlier in the week. More difficult still was the thin layer of mud that coated the rocky base and made it as slippery as if it were covered in a layer of wet moss.

Despite these unpredictable and constantly shifting conditions, the crews were able to count on the consistency, performance and grip of their Michelin Latitude Cross S3 tyres.

Epson has launched the world’s first large format sign printers that feature high-capacity ink tanks: The 44-inch Epson SureColor SC-B6070 and the 64-inch Epson SureColor SC-B7070.

Designed for high quality indoor signage printing, the high capacity ink tanks of these printers use original Epson dye-based inks and can be refilled even while the printers are in operation.

These printers represent a far superior solution to third-party ink tanks that are not made by the original printer manufacturer where refilling requires one to stop the printer, and there is no warranty coverage for their installation or else when non-original inks cause damage."
