Laguindingan Airport Opening Moved by DOTC for Passenger Convenience

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We all know that each and everyone in the field of customer service must always consider the customers as top priority. We all aim to please the customers so we can maintain a harmonious relationship with them so that they would continue to remain as our customers.

Sometimes we even need to pamper them once in a while so they would feel important. That's the reason why there are discounts, promos, freebies, special offers, and other similar marketing strategies that are proliferating so that the customers would recognize some form of rewards for being loyal, transferring or new customers.

The same with government agencies, like the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), which must make all situations amenable to most of their customers, if not all.

Bibiano Fernandes : From the Slums to the Jungles and Now the Bright Lights of Manila

As one of ONE FC's co-headliners and Bantamweight World Champion, Bibiano Fernandes will be competing Koetsu Okazaki on a world stage at SM Mall Of Asia Arena this coming May 31, 2013. From the slums of Brazil and the isolated jungles of the Amazon to the bright lights of Manila, Bibiano shares his story and journey with us.

Fernandes grew up in the slums of Manaus, Brazil. Left to fend for himself after the passing of his mother, a young Fernandes scavenged for food in the Northern Brazilian city, living on leftovers and begging for food. He even spent several years living off the land in the Amazon Jungle. Fernandes revealed that he does not think about those young times, although when pressed, he added that his childhood probably developed his never-say-die attitude.

He returned to Manaus after a few years. Without a home and with nobody to turn to, a teenage Bibiano began cleaning houses and wash cars in exchange for food. There was a Jiu-Jitsu school in the neighborhood and he was mesmerized by what he saw. One of the students at the school became his friend and volunteered to pay a month’s fee for him to train. “He asked me if I wanted to train and I immediately said yes.” A month after rolling and tapping out veterans with years of experience, the coach asked him if he will like to compete in an upcoming tournament. Bibiano explained he had no money to pay neither the monthly fees nor the entry fee for the competition. Bibiano explained, “The coach simply said ‘Bibiano you come everyday and clean the gym’” and allowed him to train for free.

Foodies on Steroids : One Day. Many Challenges.

The concept is to invite foodies (food bloggers) who would like to take on the challenge of eating their way throughout several restaurants located in one area like a mall or a food court  - all in just one day!

It will be sort of a race where each restaurant will be preparing some meals and a challenge for the contestants. Each contestant must finish the food and complete the challenge before proceeding to the next restaurant and so on.

The fastest one who can finish first, or whoever eats the most, will win prizes from our sponsors and recognition as the Certified Foodie Master on Steroids!
