Getting the Best Experience for Motorcycle Tours

Wazzup Pilippinas!

Motorcycle tours are extending far and wide. Clubs and associations - and also touring organizations and motorbike makers - offer bikers the chance to find the world. Regardless of whether you are hoping to encounter the open streets of America with a gathering of kindred lovers or you need to pioneer the trails alone, these gatherings can give you the perfect motorcycle course prepared to take you from here to there, without worrying about any of the planning. Going from two days to two weeks, your tour has housing and schedule accommodated you. Indeed, even a rental bicycle can be incorporated into the tour bundle.

Something New - Anyone can take a tour in a transport or an auto, yet not simply anybody can hop on board two haggles the air hit them. This sort of opportunity is just found with motorcycles and it's the main thrust behind the notoriety. You won't just get the opportunity to encounter a feeling of flexibility; however you will have the capacity to see things in a radical new manner. You won't need to lower your window, and you won't need to sit tight for somebody to reveal to you what's happening, you will see it firsthand.

Adventure - Perhaps a standout amongst the most convincing reasons why you should need to look at this is on account of you will be on an enterprise. This is something that brings you far from the doldrums that can hit a get-away. Without a doubt, it might be a good time for a day or two to lounge around the pool or the sea and just unwind. In any case, that will miss the mark concerning energizing in a matter of moments, which is the reason it's prescribed to get going to play a part with this sort of ride. There is something exceptional about getting on two haggles the motor and also taking off for the brilliance of open street and cool winds.

Cost Effective - When you contrast the cost of motorcycle tours with different alternatives, you will see that it's quite reasonable. Despite the fact that there is an expectation to absorb information that you have to meet, it is basically, one of the most effortless alternatives to subsidize. You can undoubtedly pay for this with a little charge and afterward appreciate whatever is before you, on your terms. If you need to go moderate, you can do that, if you need to accelerate and see what the motor can do, that is stood to you too. The reward versus cost proportion here is colossal, implying that your reward is substantially higher than the underlying expense.

Many guided tours offer tweaked varieties. Some enable you to incidentally take off alone and ride without the gathering. If you wish to do as such, the tour guides set up a settled upon time and area to come back to the gathering. Be that as it may, the aides will think about the area's beautiful focuses or shrouded pearls you need to see, so straying off without anyone else isn't the standard. One business tour bunch enables you to take your non-biking accomplice along. If your accomplice doesn't care for riding a motorbike, he or she can drive alongside the escort vehicle and offer every one of your enterprises that way.

Tips for a Successful Motorcycle Tour

Your bike
It sounds self-evident, yet you'd be astonished what number of individuals set off on a long tour without ensuring that their bicycle is in the most ideal condition it could be. Having your motorcycle adjusted before a long tour could spare days of despair, particularly if you are planning a trip abroad. In a few nations, carports aren't generally as inspired as you are with regards to recovering your bicycle out and about. Some of the time, the entire occasion can be taken up sitting tight for repairs. Remember to convey save knobs.

Your clothing

Ensure you have the correct dress. Indeed, even in summer a very long time there is a probability that mountain streets can be liable to severe climate. It could be forty degrees or it could be under ten, and it's a speculating diversion that you would be savvy to dodge. This is the point at which a guided tour with a gear conveying goes down vehicle makes its mark. Another preferred standpoint of a go down vehicle is the entrance to water if it becomes exceptionally hot.

Love Gala Commemorates World AIDS Day In Style and Solidarity

Wazzup Pilipinas!

More than five hundred people - including the US Ambassador to the Philippines, the Miss Universe 2015, top Filipino artists and fashion designers, dozens of government officials, and advocates across the country - attended the inaugural Love Gala on December 1 at the BGC Arts Center to commemorate World AIDS Day.

Love Gala is the first charity and awards event for HIV-AIDS awareness in the Philippines, and part of the proceeds from tickets sales and event-day donations will go to HIV-AIDS non-profits for their life-saving initiatives.

Aside from helping fund worthy organizations, Love Gala attendees witnessed powerful performances, a stunning fashion show, a sneak peek of groundbreaking HIV initiatives and the unveiling of the 10 winners of the first-ever Ripple Awards.

The US Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim showed his support and reiterated the call to unite in the fight against the rising epidemic. According to the latest data from the Department of Health, around 31 incidences of HIV infection are observed every day in the Philippines, making it one of the fastest-growing in Asia Pacific.

Groundbreaking HIV initiatives

The event also graced the presence of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who launched her first HIV 101 educational video at the Love Gala and called on more people to make HIV testing a part of their health and wellness routine. She is concurrently the Love Gala Ambassador and UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for Asia and the Pacific, and has been using her global popularity to shine a spotlight on the advocacy.

"Let us work together to normalize HIV testing, so that it’s viewed just like a regular medical check up. Because knowing our own HIV status is the first step in our battle to end AIDS," said Wurtzbach during the presentation of the HIV 101 video, which is part of her broader PIA, or Progressive Information Awareness project for raising awareness on HIV- and AIDS-related issues.

"This gala has shown me that there are so many people here who are confidently beautiful with a heart," she added. "Let this night strengthen our bond and commitment to battling HIV and AIDS in the Philippines, Asia, and—why not?—the Universe."

LoveYourself also launched a preview of #SafeSpacesPH, a condom distribution project that seeks to establish “safe spaces” where individuals can avail free condoms without fear of judgment or ridicule, and where they can also express themselves in an affirming environment.

The Love Gala also dedicated the night to honor the first-ever Ripple Awards winners, 10 brave individuals who have made a significant impact in spreading HIV-AIDS awareness, stopping the spread of the virus, and helping to fight the stigma suffered by their communities.

The 2017 Ripple Awards winners are: Faustine Luell ‘Paji’ Tupas Angeles, Sherwin Baniqued, M.A. Buendia, Ana Theresia “Risa” Hontiveros-Baraquel, Jebsen Rederri Go Gamido, Enrique Tayag Katerina ‘Doc Kate’ Leyritana, Elena Felix, Roberto Figuracion, Angelina ‘Angie’ Mead King.

“The HIV epidemic can be won through greater awareness and education, and these Ripple Awards winners have used their voices and influence to spread the right messages to the people who need to hear them,” said Ronivin Pagtakhan, executive director of LoveYourself, one of the member organizations of the Love Gala organizing committee, and one of the judges of the Ripple Awards.

“Action is nothing without compassion, and this rings true in the HIV-AIDS advocacy. We see these winners have set the motion to bring positive, inclusive and systemic change in the communities they serve. Some of them have even risen from their own struggles to do good for others, which is all the more inspiring,” he added.

Powerful performances

A star-studded lineup of Filipino artists, fashion designers and beauty queens also showcased their creative talents during the Love Gala.

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid led the popular and phenomenal artists in a night of special performances at the Love Gala charity and awards fundraiser. Also lending their beautiful voices to the Love Gala are Radha Cuadrado, Shiela Valderrama, Nicole Asensio, Phi Palmos, and Polly Cabrera, while Daloy Dance Company provided a stirring production.

Five top Philippine designers also joined creative forces to stage a visually stunning fashion show. Francis Libiran, Cary Santiago, Nat Manilag, Cheetah Rivera and John Herrera selected key pieces from their existing collections or created new ones to be included in the Love Gala fashion show, and part of the proceeds from the sale of the special fashion pieces will go towards HIV-AIDS charity.

Aside from Ms. Wurtzbach, two other beautiful queens also lent their beauty and grace to help the cause, with Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 First Runner-up Nicole Cordoves hosting the program.

DOE E-Power Mo Pushes Smart Energy Techs

Wazzup Pilipinas!

E-POWER MO - Empowering Consumers Towards an Energy Smarter Power System: DOE Assistant Secretary Redentor Delola promotes efficient use of emerging "smart" energy technologies during the E-Power Mo Conference at Fontana Leisure Park Clark, Pampanga held Wednesday (29 November). E-Power Mo is part of the DOE's campaign to disseminate the government's key messages on energy to consumers which includes E-Safety Mo, E-Secure Mo and E-Diskarte Mo.

The Department of Energy (DOE) emphasized on Wednesday (29 November) the need for the efficient utilization of energy as well as its conservation during the last leg of its E-Power Mo campaign for this year here.

Energy Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi, through Asec. Rendentor Delola, said that the DOE outlined strategic objectives anchored on security, affordability and sustainability of energy in the country.

“Efficiency and the customers’ power of choice could be effectively be realized through the use of ‘energy smart technologies,’" Delola stressed.

Smart energy technologies promote efficient energy use, reduced energy cost and “greener” energy options to households and energy sectors, he added.

The DOE official said that the use of these technologies are in line with the DOE’s E-Power Mo campaign which seeks to empower consumers to make better options in energy utilization.

Energy-smart technologies available in the market conform with best environment practices for industries, as well as ensure energy efficiency in government buildings.

“We are eyeing High Efficiency Motors (HEMs) to lower energy cost, lower the life cycle cost, bring higher profitability and lower greenhouse gas emissions,” said Asec. Delola.

Aside from HEMs, other smart energy technologies are efficient pumps, cutting-edge solar photovoltaic systems, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), efficient cooling systems, advanced energy monitoring and controlling technologies, and battery/energy storage products.

In a move to further promote greener technology options, the DOE is also pursuing the expansion of the usage of electric vehicles.

The DOE is already implementing the Government Energy Management Systems (GEMS).

“This program aims to reduce the government’s monthly energy consumptions by at least 10% from 2005 consumption levels,” Delola stated.

Around 500 participants attended the various and series of discussions during the E-Power Mo Energy Smart Utilization Forum and Stakeholders Conference. Attendees include a range of stakeholders from energy efficiency and conservation, local government, non-govenment organizations, consumer groups, power, renewable energy, oil and gas industry players, the academe and the media, among others.

“The DOE will continue to empower consumers and promote a ‘whole of nation’ approach in efficient energy utilization to enable the country globally compete,” Delola concluded

Findit Angeles - A Better Angeles City

Wazzup Pilipinas!

It goes without saying, that Angeles City has a reputation for its “amazing views”. But on a more serious note, most of us have a fairly good idea of what Angeles is popular for. However, if you ask any resident, they’ll tell a much different story - a story that emphasizes how much more there is to Angeles City, than just one congregated area of girlie bars.

Angeles City, like many other cities, hosts a variety of successful business establishments. Anything from small businesses, to multi-billion dollar enterprises, can be found within the city limits.

Along with numerous existing businesses, great new developments are currently underway. New developments like Aqua Planet; a humongous waterpark conveniently located in Clark Freeport Zone, with over 25 exhilarating attractions. It’s good for folks of all ages, and has everything one would need for an enjoyable time, e.g., food, shopping, drinks, and all-around fun.

Another interesting new development is the brand new Mega Dance Center, being built in Balibago. This complex allegedly will consist of a few high-end discos, a sports bar, and more. Residents and tourists alike, are excited to see the completion of this structure in the coming months, along with many other future developments.

Shop with the Stars at the World Bazaar Festival 2017

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Nothing spells Christmas season in the Philippines any better than the World Bazaar Festival, the country’s longest running annual holiday bazaar! Now on its 17th year, everyone’s favourite holiday destination just keeps getting bigger and brighter.

As if showcasing over 740 booths of the best brands and all things Christmas still isn’t enough to get everyone excited to visit this year’s bazaar, WBF gives us another irresistible reason not to miss all the excitement as it returns with the much-anticipated Celebrity Pavilion.

An area within the bazaar venue dedicated to celebrities who will be setting up their very own booths to sell a wide variety of pre-loved and brand new items, ‘tis the season for bazaar goers to experience what it is like to shop alongside their favourite stars and even purchase merchandise from the stars’ very own wardrobe!

Take it from Judy Ann Santos herself who not only participates regularly at WBF with her own booth at the Celebrity Pavilion but is also a fan of shopping at WBF. “They offer cheap, cheap items from the hundreds of stores that they have. The place is so awesome and comfortable,” Judy Ann shares. Her tip for this year’s WBF attendees? “Enjoy shopping like I did!”

Supporting Judy Ann’s testimonial is Mommy Carol Santos herself saying that she has been going to the bazaar for nine years already and she’s always watching out to meet different kinds of people. Also, she said that there is a wide selection of products to choose from which is great for her as she shop for gifts for her family and friends.

When asked about his experience as one of last year’s exhibitors at the Celebrity Pavilion, Fourth Solomon of the PBB Teen Edition said that he had a good time and he felt the Christmas vibe during the bazaar.

He highly suggests that the bazaar is a great place to spend time with loved ones.
As their experiences left an indelible mark in their hearts, Judy Ann along with Fourth are once again joining the roster of celebrities who will be setting up shop at this year’s WBF. Other celebrities expected to take part in this year’s holiday shopping fest are Gladys Reyes, Miles Ocampo, Karen Reyes, Valerie Concepcion, Dimples Romana, Phoemela Baranda and Joj & Jai Agpangan.

Among other reasons, the Celebrity Pavilion is a way for Kapamilya stars to give back to the community by taking part in a charity bazaar since part of the proceeds of all WBF shows are for the benefit of the ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya.

Very much in line with this year’s theme of “Diverse Stories, One Journey”, seeing celebrities take time out of their busy schedules to come together for a meaningful cause certainly adds another heart warming touch to bazaar goers’ WBF experience. Indeed, it is a reminder that despite our differences, Christmas is the season that brings us all together to celebrate love and channel the spirit of giving.

The World Bazaar Festival 2017 is happening on December 3 to 22, 10:00am to 12:00mn during Fridays to Saturdays and 12:00nn to 10:00pm during Sundays to Thursdays at the World Trade Center Manila. For more information, go to www.facebook.com/worldbazaarfestival.

Model-Turned-Martial Artist Rome Trinidad Looks to Exemplify Filipina Warrior Spirit

Wazzup Pilipinas!

If Rome “The Rebel” Trinidad were in a room full of people, she would incontestably stand out because she is the epitome of a true Asian beauty.

Trinidad is a certified eye candy that can grace on the cover of a top fashion magazine, sashay down the catwalk with the latest apparel, or endorse high-end beauty products in a television advertisement.

However, Trinidad is more than a pretty face because deep within, she is an authentic martial artist.

Trinidad is a practitioner of Sikaran, an ancient martial arts discipline with no written history that originated from Rizal province in the Philippines and was passed on from generation to generation by succession.

“I started martial arts at a young age,” she revealed. “It was a challenge to me, especially in a discipline that was practiced by men. I felt so empowered as I progressed in Sikaran.”

Unfortunately, Sikaran was not enough to satisfy her growing hunger to learn. Simply put, she wanted something more.

Trinidad went on to hone her skills as a martial artist by incorporating different combat disciplines and eventually transitioning to the multi-faceted arena of mixed martial arts.

Known by the moniker “Rebel” due to her mental toughness and tenacious approach, Trinidad is set to make her promotional debut under the ONE Championship banner as she dukes it out with rising Thai superstar Rika “Tinydoll” Ishige on the undercard of ONE: WARRIORS OF THE WORLD in Bangkok, Thailand on 9 December.

“It is my honor to be a part of one of the biggest mixed martial arts promotions in the world like ONE Championship. Not everybody gets this chance. I will do my best for my family and also for my countrymen,” Trinidad said.

By strapping on four-ounce gloves, Trinidad sees it as an honor and privilege to represent Philippines in ONE Championship, which is widely considered as the sport’s premier organization in the Asian region.

“My bout against a well-revered Thai martial artist like Rika Ishige is a must-win fight for me. My family is going to watch. Not only that, the whole country will be watching as my bout will be broadcasted live worldwide. Surely, I will give everything in this match to bring home the victory,” she stated.

Trinidad does not expect any problem continuing her venture into the constantly-growing landscape of martial arts as she believes that she is fully equipped with the task at hand.

“Martial arts is my passion. I'm really happy when I share and learn new things about martial arts with others. I'm surrounded by people who support me in training. It makes me stronger. I am ready for this upcoming fight in Bangkok,” she guaranteed.

Training with Singaporean martial arts veteran Nicholas “JJ” Lee to bolster her arsenal, the 20-year-old Filipino atomweight believes that her self-confidence will be the key to success as she shares the ONE Championship cage with Ishige.

“I know she is a good fighter with a good background in martial arts. Plus, she is more experienced than me. But one important key to success is self-confidence. The trait has always been with me in this journey. I look at things optimistically,” Trinidad conveyed.

Although her sights are set on pulling off a successful debut in ONE Championship, Trinidad is likewise standing up for women’s empowerment by breaking down gender barriers.

Trinidad stressed that her maiden ONE Championship cage appearance should also serve as a springboard for women to understand they can truly do anything if they put their minds and hearts into it.

“Martial arts is not only for men. If you look at me, I am the living proof that women can do it,” she mentioned. “Whether you are a child, old, short, or tall, everyone is welcome in the martial arts community.”

"Most people do not understand mixed martial arts. They think it has no rules, and barbaric,” Ishige explained further. “I want to show them it is not like that. It is a real sport, and me, I am a small girl, but I can fight in a world class organization. It is not brutal. It is about technique.”

Trinidad is excited to work with the likes of ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee, Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi, Istela Nunes, Gina Iniong, Jenny Huang and Ishige in growing the women’s martial arts scene in Asia

“Recently, female fighters in Asia have been given several avenues to showcase their skills and what they are capable of in a world-class organization such as ONE Championship. Angela Lee and others paved the way for other female fighters like me. I am here to continue what they’ve started,” she stressed.

Even if gender parity continues to be a serious hot-button discussion, Trinidad pointed out that martial arts is a great starting point to bring down the barrier.

According to Trinidad, seeing a woman succeed in a sport wholly dominated by men for the past 20 years is just an example of what is possible.

“I would like to continue this campaign for everyone who doesn't understand the beauty of this sport. Martial arts is not about fighting. Its real aim is to empower both men and women. We’ve already seen what women can do inside the cage. It’s a high time to unleash our full potential in this sport,” she asserted.

Over the past decade, women’s martial arts rose from relative obscurity to noticeable heights that many could not fathom in such a short span of time.

The once male-dominated sport has been infiltrated by women equipped with equal prowess to engage in high-testosterone action, at times even with more gusto than their male counterparts.

After years of being told that they “just weren’t good enough” and that there “wasn’t enough girls to form a legitimate bracket”, women are finally gracing the biggest stage of the sport.

While the negative reputation of women’s participation in combat sports has declined inch-by-inch, Trinidad suggested that it still needs to be promoted for the stigma to totally diminish.

“It needs more opportunity. I think that there are young girls who are probably interested in getting into it, and we need support from men and women to encourage to let them go to the gym,” she maintained.

As she continues to open eyes and introduces legions of already passionate enthusiasts to the burgeoning world of Asian martial arts, Trinidad seeks to exemplify the utmost confidence of a woman on a global stage at ONE: WARRIORS OF THE WORLD on 9 December.

“The important thing for success is self-confidence. The key to self-confidence is preparation, and I am well prepared for this fight. If I have good preparation, I can fight anybody. And for sure, I can walk out victorious,” she ended.

35 Vegetable Farmers Hailed as ‘Heroes’

Wazzup Pilipinas!

East-West Seed Philippines co-founder Benito Domingo (center, bottom row) and
other company officials pose with the 35 Farmer Heroes

Thirty-five vegetable farmers were hailed as “farmer heroes” by leading tropical vegetable seeds company East-West Seed recently to commemorate their 35th Anniversary.

The awarding capped East-West Seed’s three-month nationwide search for 35 “farmer heroes” who have achieved success, made significant contributions to their communities, demonstrated innovativeness in adopting new technologies, and could serve as role models of other farmers on how vegetable farming can enrich lives.

They comprise 85% of the entire farm structure of the world.”

Celebrating the success of farmers

“We want to express our gratitude to the Filipino farmers who have supported us all these years by celebrating their success, innovativeness, entrepreneurial spirit, and hard work. Their remarkable qualities uplift not just the lives of their families but also the whole local vegetable industry,” said Henk Hermans, general manager of East-West Seed Philippines.

Through their stories, we also want to inspire others, especially the youth, to engage in farming and become successful vegetable farmers” Hermans added.

During the event, East-West Seed also recognized 35 outstanding distributors for being East-West Seed’s loyal partners in improving the lives of Filipino farmers.
