FAME Holds Blog Spot Holiday Treat for Bloggers

Wazzup Pilipinas!

FAME recently held their Blog Spot Holiday Treat for 2017 on November 21, 2017 at the Green Sun hotel. As expected based on last year’s run, the event was again very successful with many sponsors providing both learning opportunities, and awesome freebies, to all blogger attendees. We have to thank all participating brands for making the event a real winner because aside form the freebies, the raffle prizes were also a big hit that made the event twice as rewarding.

We learned about several products and services being offered by the brands like Raso Travel which offers stunning travel and tours packages that would surely fascinate both avid and beginning tourists. Their packaged tours to Jeju Island, Kore and Okinawa, Japan are something to look forward to. Their cruises are also a great way to travel since it’s like chilling in the ocean while you’re off to your preferred destinations.

Prima Taste offered food products that are quite new for me. Aside form their cookies, they even have boxed goodies that I have not even heard of yet. I am excited to try them all soon, but I’m sure I already have even before I’ve ended and published this article. They were all just too tempting to ignore.

There were two skin care brands specifically SkinMate and Glupa which both boasts of making your skin a lot more glowing. Aside from the sin whitening ingredients, their products have sunblocks that would prevent your skin from sun damage.

Accu/Chek is a great tool to assist you in monitoring your diabetic condition. I had myself tested and I was not surprised of the results since I just recently found out myself that I am diabetic. Some laboratory tests that I took revealed that I have too much of the glucose, and so I would need Accu/Check to assist me in sustaining my health. It’s easy to use and understand interface makes it a convenient tool to purchase.

Uncle Tetsu’s fluffy but rich cheese cakes are a best-seller at the event for it was gone so fast that I only had one serving. No worries even if I am diabetic since they are not too sweet. They gave us a small sample but it was not enough to satisfy my craving.

A representative from Sleepwell also made a presentation to promote their product. That’s the first time I knew that taking a sleeping pill does not necessarily make you asleep all throughout the night. It just makes you sleep a lot more comfortable.

Inquirer mobile also gave a talk to invite us to download their mobile app for an alternative means of getting the news from one of the leading publications in the country.

Another guy introduced sample of his crispy gluten-free sliced breads that are good for all kinds of spreads like butter, jams and liver. I forgot the name of his product since he did not give away some samples for take home.

Of course, since the event is organized by FAME, they also gave magazines for free to the attendees. They also informed us of the digital versions of their content that can be accessed online.

You may take a look at the photos and videos taken at the event at our social media pages like YouTube and Facebook.

Wazzup Pilipinas Guesting at DWBL 1242 AM Radio

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Wazzup Pilipinas recently got invited again to guest at a radio show called Radyo Negosyo: Kabahayan At Iba Pa which airs every Sunday from 10 to 11 am at DWBL. The station is located at Paragon Plaza building along EDSA corner Reliance streets in Mandaluyong city.

One of the hosts, Donna “Ganda” Raquiza interviewed Wazzup Pilipinas founder Ross Del Rosario about his blogging activities, and his latest stint as a television host for Brand TV Season 2 Travel & Tours: Let’s Unwind.

Ross is proud to share his experiences and accomplishments as a blogger, and is so excited for the upcoming developments or upgrades in his career. True enough, his passion towards blogging has taken him to more opportunities. His aggressiveness may have irked some colleagues who questioned both his ethics and sanity, but that same eagerness or “kapal ng mukha” has given him more rewards that he is so thankful for.

For those who have not been able to follow the career path of Ross, everyone should know that his humble beginnings coupled with the thirst for information and social engagement has led him to more epic achievements unlike those ever achieved by other bloggers that started just almost at the same time as him.

His secret is probably because he remains an idealist. He never resorts to accepting the culture for he believes we could all do and deserve more. He never tries to follow the trends, or make dirty gimmicks just to increase his numbers. He prefers organic followers who would look for and read his articles because they want to and not because they are obligated to exchange deals with other bloggers. So all those Like, Comments, Sharing exchanges are frowned upon because what it only does is fool the readers of their actual viewership and engagement.

Thank you to the people behind this radio show for recognizing Wazzup Pilipinas as a reliable source of information that could be benefitted by its listeners. With its primary goal to share stories about businesses, specifically focusing on real estate, it is quite surprising that I got invited as a guest.

Why not? Blogging could become one’s source of income as well. We must constantly remind ourselves not to fall victim to selling ourselves short. We should remain vigilant so as not to fall prey to users who would try to use us. If the need to be picky to stay away from defective brands is necessary, we should exert every effort to do so.

The trend to effectively promote almost everything has been very successful through online means, thus many brands are making their online presence strongly felt with the assistance of bloggers or online/social media influencers. The future is ours only if we keep ourselves aligned to what is right and proper, and still have lots of fun while doing it.

It's A Kaleidoscope Christmas at Greenfield District

Wazzup Pilipinas!

This is the nth time I’m attending a Christmas-related event and so I could safely declare that it is undoubtedly “beginning to look a lot like Christmas” everywhere we go. Colorful holiday season decorations could now be seen from snowman, to reindeers, to Santa Claus, to elves, to candy canes, and a lot more “shining shimmering splendid” eye-catching items hanging from trees or light posts that look best at night when the lights are all turned on.

But the most prominent among them all would forever be the Christmas Tree. May it be a green or white tree, there would never be any other symbol that would be as grandeur as the Christmas Tree.

Come and visit the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong city now as they officially opened their Christmas celebrations through their Christmas Tree Lighting held recently on November 24, 2017. The event was graced by a Chorale group singing the melodies of the holiday season, and fabulous fireworks that lit up the dark skies that night. A few bads provided entertainment through their songs but it got cut short because of the rains.

There was also a Russian Santa Claus adding cheer through many photo and video ops and selfies with the customers and guests of the Weekend Market. It so happens that I knew the guy playing Santa and that he is actually a Filipino who is also the owner of Monster Burger which had a food stall that night too. Guess what happened next? Of course, I brought home one of his burgers.

I would have loved to eat the burger that moment, but I was already full of the Persian cuisine the served that night at the event dubbed as Kaleidoscope at Greenfield.

Though the weather was not cooperative during the event because of the sudden rain showers that made the activities fall short of expectations, the important thing is that the management of Greenfield Development Corporation took the effort to recognize a very important tradition that we should never forget. Since Christmas is really created to remember the birth of Christ, it should be realized as the most important day of the year. It is but right that we celebrate the occasion with more than a month-long of activities until the start of the New Year.

The Christmas Tree would forever be the gloriously majestic and towering symbol to make everyone see that Christmas is fast approaching. You can see its beauty from afar, and I’ve heard that the fireworks we did that day was seen even as far as Greenhills, San Juan city.

We also had the opportunity to interview the Executive Vice President of the Greenfield Development Corporation. We learned a lot about their visions for the 14 hectare property that invites people to a kid-friendly place that’s with lots of open spaces especially meant for kids and adults alike to roam and walk freely from one point to the next. Though they are small as compared to big properties like the Bonifacio Global City, they still want to instill a place where everyone would feel comfortable and at ease as they would soon have their establishments connected in such a way that you could securely walk from and to any of them through bridges and pathways.

We have the complete interview in two-part videos that we’ve altready uploaded on our social media pages so please be sure to watch them either on our official YouTube or Facebook pages.

Thanks to the Greenfield Development Corporation for including Wazzup Pilipinas among their invited media to cover the event. We hope to be covering all of their other events soon.

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Maraming nagtatanong bakit SENTI Feels ? O panu nabuo un concept na to.

Manny Pacquiao Foundation is Beneficiary of Ishin-Denshin International Music Festival

Wazzup Pilipinas!

In an effort to combat poverty in the Philippines through providing medical assistance, promoting children’s education, and providing help for those suffering from natural disasters, the Manny Pacquiao Foundation was established by the boxing world champion, senator, businessman and philanthropist.

Similarly, eventhough the Pambansang Kamao seemingly has it all, there's no stopping generous individuals, organizations and corporations to partner with him in generating funds for his foundation. Aside from his personal money, Pacquiao is open to accepting any help coming from everyone who would especially want to touch the hearts of others through his foundation.

Among the many kind-hearted entities out there are the organizers of the Ishin-Denshin International Music Festival who plans to hold the event next year by February 10, 2018. Most proceeds, if not all, of the festival would go to the Manny Pacquiao Foundation to specifically help the people of Marawi who were affected by the recent several months-long siege that displaced many residents and destroyed both their properties and source of livelihood.

At the media launch held at F1 Hotel in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) located in Taguig City, Manny Pacquiao graced the event to announce the partnership with the festival. We have a video coverage uploaded on our YouTube channel so please do check our videos to personally listen to the announcement and Q&A portion.

Buddha-Bar Manila Lights Up Their Uniquely Towering Christmas Tree

Wazzup Pilipinas!

It is undeniable that Christmas is coming since many establishments have been setting up their respective holiday season decorations of which the number one that can be seen worldwide is the Christmas Tree.

The Christmas Tree has always been the heart of every Christmas decoration, may it be within the biggest and grandest malls or our humble abodes right at home. Nothing compares to how fun it is to decorate and light up a tree that symbolizes a center where the whole family could all gather, exchange gifts and feast on delightful dishes.

Among the many establishments in the Philippines, Buddha-Bar Manila has recently lit their own Christmas Tree. But their is one of a kind and distinctively unique as compared to other Christmas Trees that I've seen throughout the years. You could very well see how different and highly extraordinary it is.

I've had the opportunity to talk with the two designers who were both present during the lighting ceremony held on November 20, 2017 just infront of Buddha-Bar Manila. Just at the other side of the bar is a display of the Mercedes Benz luxury car that is also at stake in their raffle promo. One lucky customer will get to win the car soon next year. That's another mighty prized moment at Buddha-Bar Manila.

Gaining Advantage Against Cancer with RGCC

Wazzup Pilipinas!

They don't call it the Big C for nothing. Unfortunately, many people are instantly depressed when they hear this dreaded disease. many quickly lose hope when they hear that they are afflicted with cancer since it has been highly known as incurable.

I've seen so many families devastated by cancer since treatment is a nightmare for both physically, emotionally and financially. Many believe that when you are diagnosed with cancer, you are just waiting for your time to eventually die. Such heart-breaking news for everyone, not only for the patient but also for his family, friends, colleagues and relatives.

With cancer becoming more and more prevalent among Filipinos, the quest to find ways to outsmart cancer is shared by medical practitioners, patients and the public with loved ones afflicted by it.

What if a precision cancer test is now within reach? One that could tell the exact aggressiveness of the tumor, at which part of the body it is likely to manifest, and what treatment will be most effective.

At a media forum held on November 14, 2017 at Sentro 1771, Capitol Commons, Meralco Avenue corner Shaw Boulevard, Kapitolyo, Pasig City, one of the doctors behind the development of these genetic cancer tests, Dr. Ioannis Papasotiriou, was in Manila to hold a series of talks on the advantages of genetic cancer screening in winning the fight against cancer. Dr. Papasotiriou is the CEO and Medical Director of RGCC.
