DOTr, RRCG Transport Open P2P Alabang - Ortigas Route in time for Holiday Rush

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Transportation Secretary Arthur P. Tugade led the launching of the new RRCG Transport P2P Bus Service Alabang – Ortigas route in Starmall Alabang this morning.

This initiative, which adds to the existing five (5) P2P routes operating in Metro Manila, aims to provide commuters with safe, reliable, convenient, and high quality public transport services that will reduce congestion along major thoroughfares, especially those coming from the south.

According to Secretary Tugade, the P2P is one of the many solutions that can help decongest roads if patronized by the public.

“This P2P will help alleviate traffic congestion if only people will cooperate and use it. I believe that a smoother flow of traffic will help us uplift the lives of our citizens,” he said.

Currently, the DOTr is supportive of ride-sharing services that offers public access to a cost-effective and quality transportation option that will encourage private car owners to leave their vehicles at home.

BDO Brings Whole New Meaning to Gift-Giving with Junior Savers Account

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Nothing secures a child's future better and, at the same time, teaches them the value of saving than by gifting them with a BDO Junior Savers account this Christmas.

Children age 0-12 years old can open a BDO Junior Savers account and get a free BDO Junior Savers ID Card for as low as Php100.00 in initial deposit. On the other hand, kids from 7-12 years old may opt to get a BDO ATM Debit Card instead of a BDO Junior Savers ID Card.

To help boost the child’s initial savings, parents may opt to auto-transfer their funds from their existing BDO Savings Account to the child's BDO Junior Savers Account.

To open a BDO Junior Savers account under the child's name, parents just need to go the nearest BDO branch and present copies (including the original copy for verification) of any of the following: passport; school ID signed by the principal or school head; or birth certificate issued by the local civil registry or the Philippine Statistics Authority.

For further details on the opening of a BDO Junior Savers account, interested parties may visit www.bdo.com.ph.

Mocha Uson Appointed as MMFF Ambassadress

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"Grabeh talaga ang mga elitista ngayon. Lahat na lang negative. MMDA GM Tim Orbos asked for our help to push for the changes they made in MMFF.

- Mocha Uson

The Metro Manila Film Festival announced that Mocha Uson, a known supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte is the MMFF Ambassadress for this year.

The appointment of Mocha gained criticisms from the Netizens, especially to the Elite who don’t like the blogger entertainer.

But despite of the hate messages that she received on social media, Mocha is dedicated to do the task given to her to help the MMFF to promote its movies.

For the first time, MMFF ignored the big time movie makers to give way to the Indie (Independent) Film Makers.

The decision of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2016 became controversial after the movies that we traditionally watched every Christmas day didn’t make it to this year’s MMFF.

The organizers are nervous that cinemas would pull out the indie entries because of it’s unpopularity to the masses.

That’s why they need someone who has the influence to promote the unpopular but high quality movies in MMFF and that is Mocha Uson.

It’s undeniable that Mocha Uson may greatly help the MMFF to promote its movies to the masses because most of her fans on her 4 Million Likes Facebook fan pages come from the masses.

By using the influential Facebook page of Mocha, she can promote these high quality made MMFF movie entries this year for free.

She has also some connection with other Facebook pages which can help her in promoting the movies on social media.

Just like what happened to the movie Heneral Luna that got promoted by the Netizens on Social media, we can also do the same by promoting all the MMFF entries by the use of the internet.

She can really help the MMFF, but Mocha can’t do it alone, we must help her on her task to promote the entries on social media.

Forget your political beliefs and your hate for Mocha Uson, let’s try to bring back the high quality movies to the mainstream.

De Lima Warns vs Attempts to Undermine PHL History, Identity

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Sen. Leila M. de Lima warned against the reconstruction of the Philippine history and the national identity of the Filipino people by the so-called “agents of change” who want us to think and act contrary to the values and principles we fought hard for.

She also alluded to "authoritarian leaders who excel at manipulation" and who have been able "to prey on our fears and self-interests in order to divide and conquer us."

Speaking at the Annual Conference on Cultural Diplomacy 2016 here, De Lima said there are some disturbing events in the past few months of the country’s political history that are being used to manipulate and decimate the national psyche and identity.

“One year ago, our country seemed well on its way to realizing these aspirations and ideals as embodied in the Preamble to our Constitution,” she said, referring to the year 2016 are “the year of interesting turns of events.”
“Never could I have foreseen the extent to which the very face and values of my country and my people could have changed in just 12 months, nor the disturbing direction we seem to be hurtling towards from here on,” she added.

De Lima noted the rash of vigilante-type killings in the first six months of the administration of Philippine President Duterte since his assumption in July. To date, about 6,095 people were reportedly killed in the government’s all-out war against drugs.

She also took issue at the apparent rush by the administration-dominated Congress to pass a law restoring the death penalty law purportedly to deter crimes in the country despite worldwide abolition of the capital punishment.

“That is the true horror of it all: we are fast becoming a nation where killing is seen as the solution to our problems. Not a solution; not the first or the last resort; but the solution,” she said.

“Clearly, the only real solution is to give them a carte blanche (blank card) authority to kill the suspects outright. That is our brand of justice these days. And the true horror is that some of our people will stand up and applaud this reality,” she added.

The former justice secretary also lambasted a hero’s burial given to the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, an administration’s move she said violated the Constitution which ensured that similar abuses will and should never happen again in the country’s history.

“That was baffling to us. How can we reconcile our political history thus far, with this act of honoring the one man who single-handedly brought on the darkest period of our post-colonial history?,” she said.

The neophyte senator also lashed out at the Duterte administration for continually dangling the declaration of martial law and suspension of the writ of habeas corpus to curb threats of drug-related reprisal and possible terrorist attacks.

“He and his men (are) preying on the people’s fears from so-called anticipated reprisals by those involved in the drug trade, or from terrorist attacks, or some other undefined threats that prey upon their feelings of insecurity,” she said.

“(They) are keeping the threat of a declaration of a state of national emergency, martial law and suspension of the writ of habeas corpus perpetually hanging above the Filipino’s heads, thus priming them for malleability for other extreme actions,” she added.

De Lima challenged the people that the year 2017 should be an opportunity to reclaim our national identity by resisting attempts to prey upon our marginalization and victimization by so-called “agents of change and champions of cause.”

“That is the challenge that we Filipinos face in 2017. We must find who we are. To know who we are is to trust who we are. We must define the identity of the Filipino. To know it is to recognize it in others; to recognize it is to feel revulsion when their lives are taken,” she added.

According to The Asset, the criteria used to assess the companies include a range of metrics of financial performance, which are also a proxy for gauging management acumen. Scientific Fact: Women are More Attracted to Men with Facial Hair

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Science says it. Men with facial hair are more attractive. A study in the 70s and two more recent ones conducted by Neave and Shields in 2008 and Dixson and Brooks in 2013 all came up with the same conclusion:

Most women find men with a stubble or a five-o’clock shadow very, very attractive. Although the women’s perception of male attractiveness changed according to the amount and length of men’s facial hair, most women in the study found men with a moderate amount of facial hair to be the most attractive. Some women did prefer men with no facial hair, but to the majority, men with no facial hair were not very attractive and seemed the least likely romantic partners. Women perceived full bearded men to be aggressive, more mature and a bit too much to handle.

The study showed that, bottom line, facial hair matters. 8,250 women in the study who rated the physical attractiveness of men based on the amount or absence of hair on their faces can’t be wrong.

What do the study findings imply? Guys who want to get noticed and be more sexually appealing can surely benefit from some masculine stubble on their cheeks. Just by changing or adding facial hair, a guy could well attract the type of relationship partner he seeks.

For many men, however, the problem is more complicated than that. The reality is the amount of available facial hair varies from guy to guy. Some men have facial hair that grows in patches, some men have hair growth where they do not want them, and some men are so baby-faced, they hardly have any facial hair at all. The truth is facial hair growth pattern is largely controlled by one’s genes. Either you have virile hair growing on your face; have bald, patchy spots on your face; or have no facial hair at all.
