My Top 5 Anime

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I guess almost everybody have watched at least one anime. I wouldn't wonder if there are lots of anime lovers or otaku out there, 'cause it's just so addictive.Once you watch an anime, you'll want to have some more anime marathon.

Well in my case, as far as I can remember the first anime that I've seen is Dragon Ball. But I became addicted to anime when I was in Grade 6, First and Second Year in High School. Among all anime that I have watched, I came up with my top 5 anime. Here it goes:

1. Naruto/Naruto Shippuden

http://images6.fanpop.com/image/photos/32600000/naruto-movie-uchiha-obito-32601006-3965-2802.jpg

I've been watching these anime series for about 7 years, seeing it first when I was in Grade 2. I don't know why I'm so addicted to this anime, it's just awesome, I want to be a ninja! Another factor that I can add up why I love this anime is SASUKE UCHIHA. Yeah. He's my first anime crush. Until now, he's still my number one crush in anime. It's genre is more on adventure but you can also feel humor and romance.

Arguably Sukiyabashi Jiro

Wazzup Pilipinas!

According to my research, this is probably the greatest sushi restaurant in the world. Also, this restaurant is run by Chef Jiro Ono, who probably likes to make sushi a lot. :)

This is a Michelin Guide 3-star sushi restaurant in Ginza, Chūō, Tokyo, Japan. It is owned and operated by sushi master Jiro Ono. A two-star restaurant is located at Roppongi Hills in Minato, Tokyo.

Sukiyabashi Jiro was the subject of David Gelb's documentary film Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011). French chef Joël Robuchon says that the restaurant is one of his favorites in the world, and that it taught him that sushi is an art. I'll show you the picture of the Chef.

Oishii Donburi: Delectable Japanese Cuisine

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Japanese cuisine is by far my favorite, from the complex and extravagant dishes they make, up to the simple yet delicious dishes. I have a lot of favorite food from the Japanese cuisine, especially sushi, but there is one dish that is simple yet very delicious (depending on how and who made it) and that is donburi. Donburi is a rice bowl dish that has fish, meat, vegetables or other ingredients that is simmered together and is served over rice. These dishes are often served in large bowls.

There are different types of donburi, the most common in different restaurants, the Gyudon (Gyuniku Donburi) which has beef and onions simmered in soy sauce based broth that is topped over rice. An egg is usually placed on top of it, and while it's still hot, you mix everything together.

Another type of donburi, which is actually my favorite since I love tempura, is the Tendon (Tempura Donburi) which is tempura, that is sometimes sided with vegetables, over steamed rice. If you want to make this, there is a recipe below that you can follow :) . The Unadon (Unagi Donburi) is grilled eel over rice.

It’s Just a Tie : Japanese Versus Filipino Culture

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Every country in the world has their own culture. If you live in a country that has no culture, will you still consider it as one?

As far as I know, you can state a country if they have their own culture, language, money sign and government.

This article is about Japanese and Filipino Culture and how I could say that IT’S JUST A TIE!

Vendo Machine in Tokyo (www.flickr.com)

a.)       VENDO MACHINES (JAPAN WINS)
As we can see in the Philippines, Vendo machines are not so popular in our country. Why? Because other people will just steal what is inside it.
While in Japan even though, money bursts out from the vendo machine some may not care about it and some who’s incharge will just call a technician to repair and fix it.

Top Ten Scenes in the Philippines During Flooding Season

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Resilient is being capable of withstanding shock without permanent deformation or rupture. It is the tendency to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.

Are we supposed to be cheering and shouting hurray to the Filipino people for once again showing resilience in the midst of the tragic flooding that is now occurring in the Philippines brought about by typhoon Maring?

We are definitely strong and determined to surpass all hardships brought about by the floods and other similar inconveniences brought about by man or nature. We would always come out smiling and hoping for the best. We are a remarkable race indeed.

I know the Filipino is worth dying for - as what Ninoy Aquino have said. But are we truly worthy of praises when we keep on seeing ourselves suffering from the same disasters we know will eventually happen but couldn't (or wouldn't) do anything to prevent it from happening?

Here's my top ten scenes in the Philippines that I would normally see during the flooding season.

Globe Strengthen Rewards Program With Philippine Airlines Partnership

Subscribers can now convert PAL Mabuhay Miles to Globe rewards points and redeem from ten (10) partner merchants, the biggest for a telco loyalty program

Strengthening its customer loyalty program Globe Rewards, Globe Telecom forged a partnership with Philippine Airlines (PAL) to allow its frequent flyers to convert their PAL Mabuhay Miles to Globe rewards points.

For every 2,000 Mabuhay Miles converted, subscribers can earn 400 rewards points; 1,500 Mabuhay Miles can be converted to 300 rewards points; and 1,000 Mabuhay Miles can earn subscribers 200 rewards points.

Subscribers can use rewards points to redeem items from the Globe Rewards catalog such as Globe services, shopping, dining and leisure items, gadgets, and gift certificates. Recently, using the point-to-peso conversion of 1 point = P1.00, subscribers are given more options to redeem their points, where rewards points can now be used as cash to purchase items from partner merchants.

Ten Tips on How To Take Care of Your Cars During Flooding Season

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Aaahhh!!! The flood season has started once again. This Maring has still to end and the flood to subside but only after damaging a great deal of vehicles all over the Metro.

My car was one of the victims during typhoon Ondoy, and sadly I never got to buy a new one in fear of the same thing happening all over again. So, I was right after all! I've learned to invest first on a parking location free from flooding, but still many do not have the convenience and luxury to choose where to park their cars.

Many of the car owners here in the Metro do not really have their own parking space or garage. Many of their vehicles are parked on the streets - regardless how narrow or wide the streets are - because many can't afford to own a house with a garage in the city.

Here are some tips from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. and the Asian Carmakers Corporation (the official importer and distributor of BMW vehicles in the Philippines) on what to do in case car owners or passengers encounter floods on the road, and how to respond when their vehicle is damaged in a flood.

The Filipino Should Not Be Waterproof!

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Here we go again! Ondoy, Habagat..... and now Maring! It seems it's a never-ending cycle where we are all end up seeing each other at relief and evacuation centers. We might be among the people waiting to receive donations in the form of a kilo of rice, a few cans of sardines and some instant noodles, or if we were lucky enough, part of the team distributing the relief goods.

Each one of us maybe feeling the Filipino spirit of being "waterproof" like what the meme has been sharing all throughout my Facebook timeline. We are all there hoping for the best despite the tragic disaster which put a great portion of the Philippines under murky flood waters.

But there's a small bonus! We get to see celebrities, politicians and other big personalities, up close and personal!

Daiana Menezes Is UNO Magazine's 88th Issue Cover Model

Wazzup Pilipinas!

By now, you should have seen, held, ogled and enjoyed UNO's ultra-special 10th year anniversary issue they dubbed UNO X. This time, hot on the heels of that supernova of an issue, UNO magazine brings you UNO 88, their first regular issue for volume X.

For a wet and dreary week, here's something bright, sunny and chipper to look forward to! UNO issue 88 volume X with Ms. Daiana Menezes.

If you think the pose is something familiar, UNO magazine says that Issue 88 is actually a nod to Jennifer Aniston's necktie issue from a previous issue of GQ magazine. UNO thinks Brazilian beauty Diana Meneses wears it just as well.
