Wazzup Pilipinas!?

A New Era for Sustainability and Innovation

The Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition (WORLDBEX) 2025 is set to make waves once again from March 13 to 16, 2025, across two premier venues: World Trade Center Metro Manila and SMX Convention Center Manila. Ranked among the Top 10 Best Events in the Philippines by 10Times, this year’s theme, "Beyond Sustainnovation," challenges the industry to go further in integrating sustainable and innovative solutions.

As the largest and most influential construction and design exposition in the country, WORLDBEX continues to be the leading platform for showcasing cutting-edge advancements while fostering industry-wide collaboration to meet the pressing demands of sustainable development.

With environmental concerns reaching critical levels, the expo aligns itself with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) #9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and #11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). This year, the event promises more than just discussions—it will take real, actionable steps towards sustainability through various exhibitions, competitions, and learning forums.

Event Highlights: Breaking Boundaries in Design and Innovation

1. PROJÉTO Interior Design Competition 2025

One of the most awaited segments is the first-ever PROJÉTO Interior Design Competition, themed "Spectrum: Renovating a Sustainable Diversified Primary Learners’ Public Special Education (SPED) Center." This competition aims to highlight the best young designers from various institutions across the country.

The winning design will be implemented in a school in Pasay, demonstrating WORLDBEX’s commitment to both innovation and social responsibility. This initiative not only showcases talent but also creates a meaningful impact on the community by providing an improved learning space for SPED students.

2. Philippine Garden Festival: A Green Revolution in Resort Development

Now in its 4th year, the Philippine Garden Festival (PGF)—a collaboration between WORLDBEX, the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA), and the Landscape Contractors & Industry Specialists Association of the Philippines (LACISAP)—aims to redefine resort development with sustainable innovation.

Ronnie Traballo, President of LACISAP, emphasizes that the festival will showcase the creativity, expertise, and sustainability-focused innovations of the country’s top landscape architects and contractors. Special seminars will further explore the role of green spaces in creating eco-friendly urban and resort environments.

3. The World of Interior Design: Pushing Artistic Boundaries

A treat for design enthusiasts, this segment will feature renowned interior designers such as IDr. Leo Almeria, IDr. Chat Fores, IDr. Suzette Cocuaco, and IDr. Tony Adriano, among others. This year’s exhibits will be bolder and more surprising than ever, according to IDr. Chat Fores.

A special highlight comes from IDr. Leo Almeria, who coined the WORLDBEX slogan "The Legacy Continues." He hints at an exhibition focused on sustainability through cultural heritage, proving that sustainable design is not just about materials but also about preserving history and tradition.

4. The World of Architecture: Pioneering the Future of Infrastructure

The World of Architecture segment will showcase the country’s top architectural firms, including:

Palafox Associates

Visionary Architecture Inc. (Visionarch)

WTA Architecture and Design Studio

DEQA Design Collaborative (DDC)

Fulgar Architects

This year’s exhibit will fuse sustainability with the latest technological innovations, offering a glimpse into the future of building and design in the Philippines. Expect groundbreaking concepts that address climate change, urban density, and efficiency in infrastructure.

5. WORLDBEX Likha: Honoring Filipino Craftsmanship

A new addition to the expo, WORLDBEX Likha, will celebrate Filipino artisans and traditional crafts. From weaving and pottery to paintings and sculptures, this showcase will highlight the fusion of culture, sustainability, and innovation.

For the first time, a comprehensive art gallery will feature works from both renowned and emerging Filipino artists, proving that sustainability and artistry can go hand in hand.

6. WORLDBEX Summit: A Hub for Industry Thought Leaders

Industry leaders, developers, and construction experts will gather at the WORLDBEX Summit to discuss the latest advancements and best practices in the real estate and construction industries.

A notable addition is the Developers Forum, spearheaded by PDP + Architecture President and CEO Ar. Cathy Saldaña, which will feature top real estate experts sharing insights on sustainable property development.

A Must-Attend Event for Industry Professionals and Enthusiasts

With its 28-year legacy, WORLDBEX continues to set the standard for excellence in the building and construction industry. Whether you’re a professional looking for networking opportunities, a student eager to learn from experts, or a homeowner exploring sustainable innovations, this event is not to be missed.
