Influencers, public figures, and celebrities are now sharing their struggles with anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions, showing their followers that vulnerability is not weakness but strength.


The Importance of Therapy and Professional Support

In Filipino culture, seeking therapy is still viewed by some as a last resort or something reserved for those with severe mental illnesses. But therapy is not only for individuals experiencing crises—it’s also a valuable tool for personal growth, self-awareness, and emotional resilience.


Therapists and mental health professionals provide a safe space where individuals can freely express their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. However, funding for mental health programs remains insufficient. Experts emphasize the need for increased government investment in mental health infrastructure, training, and education programs.

While systemic changes are necessary, change begins with us. Here’s how individuals can contribute to breaking the stigma:
