This year, UP CIEM presents IEshikawa 18 – AURION: Forging Ahead into the Digital Tomorrow. Scheduled for February 23-24, 2024, its 18th installment aims to seize the future of industrial engineering by delving into the insights of emerging trends, integrating the latest technologies to positively transform lives.
IEshikawa is an annual nationwide Industrial Engineering event offered by University of the Philippines Circle of Industrial Engineering Majors (UP CIEM). Serving as an alternative avenue for continuous growth and learning, IEshikawa aims to harness the knowledge and aptitudes of IE students and apply these skills to provide service to the IE community.
Throughout the years, this event has produced high-quality event programs and workshops that exhibit and promote the true spirit of Industrial Engineering.
This installment promises an immersive journey of curated talks, workshops, competitions, and career fair! The following are its four major events:
1. The 𝙄𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙚: 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, in partnership with A.P. Moller - Maersk, aims to provide the Industrial Engineering students an opportunity to showcase their skills, knowledge of IE concepts, and application abilities.
2. The 𝙄𝙀𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙚: 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻, in partnership with Ask Lex Ph Academy, strives to test the creativity and wit of the participants by proposing designs in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
3. The 𝙄𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡: 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗕𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, in partnership with IExcel CIE Review Center, tests participants' knowledge of IE concepts, critical thinking and problem solving skills with a strategic twist.
4. The 𝙄𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, selects a lucky few to have an opportunity to serve and represent the Industrial Engineering community, offering a behind-the-scenes look and an exclusive leadership workshop.
