Former senator Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito aka Estrada seeks a return to the Senate as he files his certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator on the May 2022 polls.
JV Ejercito will use 'JV Estrada' as an alias because he says some areas especially in rural communities know him as an Estrada: 'Estrada is a brand name'
He says he will also stick to his original name since "ako lang ang Ejercito na tumakbo for a national post"
Above is a copy of JV Ejercito’s COC for Senator in the May 2022 polls. He said he is running again “against all odds.” If elected, he vowed to focus on the implementation of the laws he sponsored in the Senate.
Ejercito says he will continue to work on improving the country's health care and public infrastructure, like mass transportation—his long-time advocacies.
"Our voters deserve better choices. Our country deserves the good ones who will help achieve prosperity for all, not leaders who think only about lining their pockets with public money."
Ejercito says he feels gratified that many presidential aspirants and groups want him to be in their senatorial slate or expressed support for his bid to return to the Senate.
Ejercito says it was Senate President Tito Sotto who first included him in their senatorial slate. He also reveals being approached by the camps of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and former senator Bongbong Marcos.
"Nakakataba ng puso."
Ejercito was also said to be included in the shortlist of Pres. Duterte's senatorial candidates but it did not push through.
In his speech, Ejercito said he expects a tough fight in the 2022 polls since many prominent personalities will run.
Sana he continues to become a blogger/vlogger instead. He seems cool and less stressed when he's promoting food.
