Entertainment in the Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Things to do or have fun in the Philippines

Filipinos are known all over the world for their musicality. In Manila and Cebu, and even on entire islands, music does not stop from morning to night. In addition, Filipinos rarely suffer from stage fright and do not need long persuasions to perform a song. Local music lovers also dance no worse and are ready to start dancing at the first opportunity. And there are many opportunities here: from fashionable nightclubs designed for official events and carnival to a whole bouquet of various discos and disco bars, as well as outdoor dance floors and beach parties. If you are a gambler, you will be pleasantly surprised by the rich selection of casinos and gaming halls in most of the main tourist points of the Philippine archipelago.

Golf

The Philippines is considered to have the best golf in Asia. This game is taken more than seriously here, historically it has been played for a long time, and the highest standards are set for golf here. They are obsessed with the quality of playgrounds here. Golf courses-ranging from modest 9-hole lawns for local enthusiasts to luxurious 72-hole courses of hundreds of hectares, where professional golfers from all over the world train - are something that the Philippines is proud of. Golf clubs and golf courses are located in the most beautiful places in the Philippines: surrounded by lakes, historical monuments, volcanoes, or tropical islands. Many golf courses in the Philippines were created by the most famous golf architects of the planet - for example, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, and Nick Faldo were noted here.

The underwater world of the Philippine Islands

The Philippines, if viewed from a geographical point of view, is separated from other countries by the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. They are located a little further south than Taiwan, north of Indonesia, and also part of the country is located to the east of Vietnam. Scientists claim that most of the marine organisms of the Pacific Ocean evolved in the triangle that formed between the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and the Malacca Peninsula. Already from this triangle, organisms spread to other oceans and began to meet all over the world. This theory is confirmed by the fact that the region is very rich in marine fauna and flora.

In these places, you can see angelfish, Moorish idols, and other types of exotic fish. In addition, in the waters near the Philippines, you can also meet large inhabitants of the seas, for example, sharks, turtles, or stingrays. Lobsters, starfish, flat and feathery worms are also often observed near the islands.

Diving

The Philippines is 34,000 square kilometers of coral reefs, where more than 500 varieties of coral growth and more than 2,000 species of fish live.

There is practically nothing to compare the diversity of the underwater life of the archipelago with: corals, sponges, anemones, sea cucumbers, starfish, and, of course, coral fish, including such rare ones as yellow and black butterflyfish, iridescent blue or green sponges, triggers, and triangular batfish...

The Philippine waters are home to six species of sea turtles and more than 20 species of whales and dolphins, and the White Shark, the largest fish in the world.

In 1998, the United Nations declared the Tubbataha Reefs in the Philippines, southeast of Palawan Island, a world heritage site. Its entire territory of 33,200 hectares is now under UNESCO protection. Tubbataha Reef, with its two towering atolls, countless lagoons, and small islands, is a vast underwater home for all kinds of marine life in Asia: from tiny corals to sharks and whales.

There are ten marine national parks and reserves in the Philippines, carefully protected by the state.

Cockfights

Cockfighting is a mass sport here; it is not so popular in any other country as in the Philippines. Blood, excitement, bets attract millions of men across the country on Sunday to cockfights. Many get rich, and many lose everything, sometimes even their homes. The rooster is a favorite bird for these men, taking care of every day, washed, cleaned feathers; some even walk with them. Here it is customary for people to place bets on their pet, and those who could not come can take a look at pinoy online sabong. Many people from different countries watch online sabong philippines and try to make money on it. For example, here Talpakan.ph is one of the sites where you can watch the fight's broadcast and make a bet.

Roosters have innate aggression towards all males of the same species, but they never kill each other in life. Here they are also helped by sharp blades that cling to the left leg of the rooster. As a rule, such fights do not last long. If the bird is exhausted or severely injured, the referee stops the fight. The winner's owner often picks up the losing bird to cook a delicious family dinner.

SPA

SPA centers and health resorts in the Philippines offer guests more than just programs that improve physical health. All lodges are located in lovely places and are built-in in complete harmony with the surrounding virgin nature. They take great care not to harm the island or the coast on which the resort is located and attach much importance to ecology. Verified beauty recipes for thousands of years and the latest world achievements in this field, natural ingredients, and modern methods-local SPA successfully combine all this. Add to this the world-famous Filipino hospitality and the highest level of service - and you will agree that this is one of the most beautiful recreation opportunities.

Shopping

In big cities and capitals - Manila and Cebu - colossal shopping centers are always full of visitors: shopping for the local middle class has long turned into a full-fledged national entertainment. Customers are happy to choose things from Armani, Gucci, Prada, YSL, Bvlgari, Tod's, Louis Vuitton, and then, slowly, have lunch in numerous continental, European, or Asian restaurants cuisine. A shopping mall in the Philippines is more than just a collection of shops under one roof: in the middle of the urban landscape, there are quaint structures with live palm trees and flower gardens, fountains, and artificial waterfalls, illuminated with all the colors of the rainbow. Theaters, exhibitions of contemporary art, and entertainment centers are often opened in shopping pavilions. There is everything here for a citizen who came here to shop to get the whole set of pleasures. Shopping in the Philippines is a celebration of feelings.
