HIV advocacy groups, international experts, and global supporters will converge online on December 2-4 for the "#SaferNowPH Summit 2020: Flattening the HIV Curve" to celebrate World AIDS Day (WAD) 2020.
The Summit is an online conference to promote innovations in the HIV combination prevention strategy and share the advocacy to the global audience as a part of the community's overall efforts for the WAD 2020 as we all march towards ending AIDS by 2030. Each day has a theme to create a conversation in advancing HIV prevention at varying levels, looking closely at this epidemic as a public health concern and demedicalizing it. On December 2, the Summit will focus on how we can "Dare to Change the International Perspective on HIV." International experts will dare to present innovative strategies in dealing with HIV like the status neutral approach, chemsex and its relation to HIV, and the pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV.
For December 3, the Summit will tackle the evolving continuum of HIV care through "Care for the Local Community." Government authorities and social experts who cared for the Philippine development on HIV will discuss the new treatment drug (Dolutegravir), compassion for PLHIV, and HIV amidst COVID-19.
The Summit will conclude on December 4 with concrete ways to "Share the Advocacy with Our Communities." Celebrity guest speakers and ambassadors will share insights about HIV and mental health, being an ally for the community, social responsibility, and advocacy support.
