Wazzup Pilipinas!
A Taglish bible was reintroduced on online platforms amid the pandemic.
An official of the CBCP said the New Testament Pinoy version of the #Bible was published for the younger generation to better understand God's words.
Did you know that this controversial Pinoy version took around 10 years' worth of research and editing?
Are we that mindless or untrained of our language that we have to combine English and Tagalog for the biblical texts?
A Conyo Bible? Really?
Shookt ako na di kontra Simbahang Katolika sa taglish version ng Bible.
Why would bishops promote the Taglish BIble and give it an imprimatur? I think, it should not be promoted, it is one of the grave mistakes of the modern Church.
Yes, the point is good to have the Bible understandable to youth, but a translation that is unpleasant to hearing?
A BIG 'NO' TO THE TAGLISH VERSION OF THE BIBLE.
I can't remain silent about the news of having a newly-published Taglish version of the Holy Bible. How ironic! Their purpose is just to make it relevant and interesting.
HINDI NILIMBAG ANG BIBLE PARA SA ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES.
The Bible is sacred; a holy item, so why make fun out of it by translating terms into how some people speak nowadays? Have we really degraded ourselves. The deteriorating Tagalog language was brought about by keeping it short on SMS and social media like Twitter, and our fascination with foreign languages. Speaking in Taglish is more like the lack of expertise to speak straight and fluent English or Tagalog.
Parang masyado nang bumaba ang standards natin?
Sabi do’n, para raw mas maintindihan ng mga mambabasa?
Ito ang tanong, why rely on your own knowledge? Kaya nga it is a must to pray first before reading the Bible.
I am a Catholic and I am very disappointed by this move of the Church. Imagine, Qur'an the holy scriptures of Moslem are preserved and retained in Arabic. Why can't we just stick to English or Latin.
Whoever did that rubbish Taglish translation of the Bible needs to be ashamed of themselves. It cheapens the liturgy.
The taglish / conyo bible is... making me ask questions directly to God as to why He let people thought it'd be a nice venture.
Taglish Version of Bible daw but still erroneously translating certain words to homosexuality/ homosexual acts; AND religious hypocrites still using the same selected yet misinterpreted verses to instill hate towards minorities. No thanks!
"Pinagtripan si Jesus" Ang off talaga ng taglish bible beh. Nakakabawas na nga ng braincells, nakakadagdag pa ng kasalanan. Tatawa ka kasi habang binabasa mo. Parang either conyo or bading ang peg mo.
"Nang i-hammer si Papa Jesus sa cross nagalit ang diyos, at napasigaw sila ng "Oh my God!"
Jesus turned water into wine: “Ebarg ka susej! Isa kang petmalu” - I think this is jejemon or beki lingo!
Dear Pope Francis,
I wonder pano ka po mag react when you make basa the Millennial Bible ng New Testament dito in the Philippines. It's in TagLish para sa Millennials daw to make engganyo the kabataan to make basa basa the salita ni God.
“The best part has to be the sample of the verses, which sounds like a sermon from your enthusiastic friend from Taft.”
Idk but super nakakagigil yung Pinoy bible ngayon which is taglish. And disrespectful kasi sa sa orig version ng bible and super out of context na. This ain’t cute you know! It’s blasphemy!
You should cringe on the existence of a Taglish bible version. Isn't it sacrilegious?
