Philhealth Top Brass Ricardo Morales Resigns Amid Corruption Allegations
Wazzup Pilipinas!
President Rodrigo Duterte had asked Philippine Health Insurance (Philhealth) top brass CEO and President Ricardo Morales to step down due to his medical condition, says Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
Roque refuses to comment: "I can't because I'm bound by privilege. It's best to ask Sec. Guevarra.Whatever not shown to the public is covered by executive privilege."
Beleaguered Morales will be submitting his resignation letter today, August 26.
That makes two top PhilHealth officials quitting today. The other is Senior Vice President Del Rosario.
Asking 65-year old Morales to resign for health reasons is the "humanitarian way" of sacking the state insurer's top executive, Senate President Vicente Sotto III said.
Dismissing Ricardo Morales from his position isn't enough. He should face his accountability and be imprisoned. In spite of what he has done, the government still treats him with impunity even though he doesn't deserve it.
Now, if these allegations against CEO Ricardo Morales are true, then the PLUNDER in PhilHealth is much, much worse. They deserve far worse than ABS-CBN or even the unnecessary casualties on the War on Drugs.
Jail him! THAT IS TRUE JUSTICE!
It is not resignation that will set Ricardo Morales free but the Truth. Will he die a hero or a heel?
Morales may be charged for possible complicity in some questionable activities in the agency based on evidence gathered during the Senate investigation, says Sen. Panfilo Lacson.
Meanwhile, Duterte also recently bared that his doctor told him that his Barrett’s esophagus ailment was “nearing stage one cancer.”
Should he resign too?
