Wazzup Pilipinas!
The Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, also known as the Bayanihan Act, and officially designated as Republic Act No. 11469, is a law in the Philippines that was enacted in March 2020 granting the President additional authority to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines.
Pero bakit parang naging puro accumulate trillions of funds then abutan ng barya-barya mga umaasa. Konting ayuda, konting relief goods na galing pa nga sa LGU (for a few select people only), pero karamihan naman ng necessities puro donations galing from the OVP and private sectors.
Walang national government-initiated mass testing or mass contact tracing which are supposed to be the best way to combat this pandemic while we wait for a vaccine. Puro top government officials lang ang nakinabang sa immediate testing...meron pa ngang twice or thrice na-test funded by our taxes.
But then we see how they violate their own mandated health protocols of public gathering, social distancing, etc. Ruthless to the people, yet compassionate to themselves in the implementation.
Survival of the fittest? Covid-19 versus the masses?
Now anti-terror bill, closure of a TV network, and proposal to rename an airport ay naisingit pa nila when they are supposed to be busy finding ways to augment the dwindling economy, the many loss of employment, etc.
Nag-ipon lang yata sila ng pondo for the next campaign and election on 2022.
