Wazzup Pilipinas! Wear a mask, save a life. #MaskMabuti PSAYou don’t need to be a frontliner to be a hero these days. To help against the spread of the coronavirus, doing simple things to keep yourself safe and healthy is already a big help to beat this global pandemic. Basic safety measures like staying at home, social distancing, and washing your hands frequently, are all essential and important steps to “flatten the curve” of infection. But there’s one more important thing that we need to remember: if you really need to go out, it is recommended that you WEAR A MASK. Countries like Taiwan, South Korea, and the Czech Republic have proven that wearing face masks in public is an effective way to stop the transmission of the virus. Wearing one becomes a personal responsibility to protect yourself from inhaling respiratory droplets, and also to protect others in case you find yourself coughing or sneezing in public. Protect yourself. Protect others. With this in mind, the #MaskMabuti campaign aims to drive awareness about wearing masks in public, as well as to raise funds to produce reusable face masks for every Filipino. With the shortage of surgical face masks, the next best thing is to wear a cloth mask. Even wearing DIY masks made at home is better than not wearing one at all. Join our Mask Movement, so we can stop the virus. Share a photo of yourself wearing a face mask and invite your friends to do the same, and use the hashtag #MaskMabuti. If we move as one, we will heal as one. Watch the campaign video here. |
