The province of La Union is under threat from the dangers of a proposed coal-fired power plant, putting the lives of people and the environment at risk.

But La Union communities are not taking this sitting down. Surfers, artists, resort owners, teachers, students--locals and visitors alike, supported by the broad anti-coal movement in the Philippines, are coming together to call attention to this issue and demand clean energy for La Union and the rest of the country.
