The Department of Energy (DOE) and the Energy family will proceed to Clark, Pampanga on Wednesday, November 29, to share the E-Power Mo campaign to Central and Northern Luzon at the Fontana Hot Spring Leisure Parks, Clark Freeport Zone. This is part of its commitment to instill smart utilization of energy among consumers nationwide.
"The E-Power Mo Clark will focus on smart technologies, so our consumers have the knowledge on better and efficient energy options for their daily living,” Energy Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi said.
“Consistent with the E-Power Mo Conferences, there will be sectoral sessions for a more centered discussion on each energy topic,” Cusi added.
The E-Power Mo Energy Smart Utilization Forum and Stakeholders Conference will highlight various energy-smart technologies available in the market, best environment practices for industries, and energy efficiency in government buildings.
There are six (6) sectoral breakout sessions:
Breakout Session 1: For the Downstream Oil and Natural Gas Sector, the focus will be on the Philippine National Standards and its Importance, LPG Regulatory Framework and Safety Practices, and the Development Plans in the Emerging Downstream Natural Gas Industry
Breakout Session 2: Upstream Sector’s sessions will include presentations on the salient features of the proposed “Philippine Conventional Energy Contracting Program” for coal and petroleum resources.
Breakout Session 3: Renewable Energy (RE) Sector session will have a forum on the latest developments in the RE sector and how to proceed with RE service contracts.
Breakout Session 4: On the sessions for Power Sector, there will be talks on a consumer empowerment, power system operation, sustainable and renewable energy, standards for smart grid as well as information and communication technology and cybersecurity.
Breakout Session 5: Sessions for Alternative Fuels and Energy Efficiency Sector will provide various information on alternative fueled vehicle and technology, emerging energy technology, energy efficiency and conservation roadmap 2017-2040 and energy management system.
Breakout Session 6: Consumer Sector will mainstream gender and development in the sector, provide understanding on the energy supply chain, energy safety practices and labeling program, and lastly, how to become an energy smart consumer.
The E-Power Mo campaign of the DOE is in partnership with the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) and Philippine Information Agency (PIA).
The campaign has four guiding principles that summarize President Rodrigo Duterte’s energy policy agenda:
1. Develop and utilize the energy resources available to Filipinos for wealth creation and global competition (E-POWER MO);
2. Undertake safety and savings measures through energy efficiency (E-SAFETY MO);
3. Secure the delivery of quality, reliable and affordable energy services (E-SECURE MO); and,
4. Empower consumers through a wide range of options in utilizing conventional, renewable and alternative energy sources. (E-DISKARTE MO).
