Isuzu Continue to Show Confidence in the Truck Market

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) showed confidence anew in its recent exhibition of its latest truck line-up. Held on April 20-23, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, IPC’s truck display bares its core values of dependability, durability and reliability.

One of the country’s most trusted truck brand, IPC has been a consistent segment leader specially for its light-duty N-Series trucks which holds the No. 1 position for 17 consecutive years. In the past two years, however, the trucks and buses segment also saw a significant increase in demand which is parallel to the growth of the economy, which is why IPC’s medium and heavy-duty trucks sales increased by around 13% in 2016.

“The key to our success is not on the sale of our trucks, it’s on the full service that comes with every purchase. With every truck purchase, we provide product orientations, driver’s training and even a professional analysis on fuel consumption and actual vehicle operation” said IPC President Hajime Koso. “A truck is probably one of the most valued investments for a company, which is why aside from providing quality products, Isuzu guarantees availability of parts and reliable service” he added.

Leading the 12-truck display line-up were the two (2) units each Isuzu NHR with flexi truck 10 x 10 body and FVM with Fruehaf wing van, which are specially built by IPC’s trusted body builders Kyoei Kogyo Philippines Corp. (KPC) and Centro Manufacturing Corporation respectively.

Completing the light-duty truck line-up were the Isuzu NHR with iVAN body option, NHR jeepney prototype, NPR dropside, NPR aluminum van and NQR Garbage Compactor. For the medium to heavy-duty segment, IPC displayed the FVM with crane, CYZ51 dump truck and EXZ51 tractor head.

Adding more diversity to the show, IPC displayed its leading light-commercial vehicles, two (2) units each of the Isuzu mu-X Black Series and Isuzu D-MAX X-Series.

“Every year we try to make the show even more exciting and worthwhile for truck buyers to visit. The introduction of the Isuzu NHR with flexi truck 10 x 10 body and FVM with Fruehaf wing van are our latest addition to the wide array of body applications which can be done on our trucks. Hopefully, it will attract more customers to buy these models thru this display” Koso added.

Along with the vehicle display, different body builders were on-site so that customers can immediately discuss their purchase requirements upon picking the right truck for their business. Present during the show were Centro, Almazora, KPC, Multilift, Transbilt, Versatemp, Red Dragon, CoolAire and JVF Commercial.

As an additional treat, all registered customers during the show are entitled to receive free dashboard camera and P10,000 worth of fuel card for every closed transaction until June 30, 2017.

It is with much pride that I welcome all of you to the 2017 Isuzu Truck Fest here at the SMX Convention Center. For us in Isuzu, this Truck Fest has become a tradition which we started more than 10 years ago, and every year since 2013; and each year, we make it a point to make it a better experience for all of you.

The past few years have shown us a tremendous growth in the sales of trucks and buses, with an average growth rate of 13%. In 2016 alone, truck sales grew at the rate of 36% with a total sales of 6,079 units of new trucks and buses. From this, Isuzu achieved the No. 1 position in total sales in all truck segment for 17 consecutive years. 

In this year’s Isuzu Truck Fest, we will not only showcase our top quality trucks in their various body applications, we will go a step further by featuring their many uses through our creative display.
