Wazzup Pilipinas!
Today is the day. The most beautiful day in the universe!
86 "confidently beautiful" women, 1 crown by DIC worn by Paulina Vega and Pia Wurtzbach, and Ariadna Gutierrez for a few minutes, so far. Who will win? It all goes down here in Manila.
Today will be the day Maxine will or will not prove them haters wrong. For sure, one life will be changed today.
Our bet, Maria Myka Maxine Medina, is probably so nervous now because in only a few hours she will finally walk on stage amidst a live audience, and live streaming TV and online broadcast, coming from all over the world and all hoping that their own specific bets will win.
"Is the Miss Universe pageant is slowly redefining beauty, breaking stereotypes, and truly celebrating diversity? We'll find out later at with the happenings at the SM Mall of Asia Arena this January 30, 2017."
Are we confident Steve Harvey won't commit same Miss Universe blunder he did last year? The Miss Universe Organization (MOU) must have made sure he won't be confused again with the preparation of a better designed cue card from which he will read the names of the winners.
Our advise to the Miss Universe 2016 candidates? Be in the present moment and focus your energy on feeling good. "A flower does not think of competing to the flower next to it. It just bloom. Be like a flower."
For our official country representative, we believe in you Maxine! May the Universe be with you! Be the Brightest Star in the Universe today! Go, Maxine Medina! Go Ms. Philippines! Let's show Gloria Diaz - I mean the universe, that back-to-back win is possible. Win that crown again for the Philippines!

To all Filipinos around the globe, let's unite once again for #MissUniverse. All the best for Maxine Medina of the #Philippines. "I’m excited and at the same time nervous. Mga kababayan suportahan nyo po ako. Ito na!” says Maxine.
Former Miss Universe winner from 1969, Gloria Diaz, now believes Maxine will win as she now says "I changed my mind, I’m like Duterte."
To Maxine Medina, may she win or lose. Whatever the outcome of the pageant later, we still love you as our Miss Universe. We're all here to support and cheer you! But, honestly, I can feel the 4th crown for the Philippines!
To all the candidates, whether you bring home the crown or not, please support the strong, give courage to the timid, remind indifferent, and warn the opposed.
The strongest people aren't always the people who win, but the people who don't give up when they lose.

Of course, the "confidently beautiful" Pia Wurtzbach would have to pass on her crown to the next Miss Universe who would now take over the responsibility and perhaps share a new iconic phrase or paraphrase to be known worldwide and used by upcoming Miss Universe fans and hopefuls.
Manila's #MissUniverse might be someone we never expected. Remember no one thought Sushmita Sen from India will get the crown in 1994. For the Philippines, very few expected Maxine to win the Bb. Pilipinas Universe title since many were rooting for Kylie Verzosa, who eventually won as Miss International for 2016.
Glad for the second chance and can't wait to watch @IAmSteveHarvey as he hosts the 65th Miss Universe coronation event. There will surely be lots of laughter on stage as the audience can still recall his mistake in announcing last year's winner.

The punchlines will all lead to his erring declaration of Miss Universe 2015, which did not give our Pia Wurtzbach the opportunity to do a victory walk because Miss Colombia was still wearing the crown at that very moment before it was finally transferred to its rightful recipient. This would go on in history as one of the greatest blunder witnessed by millions of people all over the world.
Join Steve Harvey hosting again, while Ashley Graham, Flo Rida and Boyz II Men will all entertain. Apparently, there are no local performers from the Philippines.
To select the winners, the elimination will be 13 - 9 - 6 - 3 - 1
Top 13 - Swimsuit
Top 9 - Long Gown
Top 6 - Q&A
Top 3 - Final Look & Q&A
