Wazzup Pilipinas!
I'm probably one of the many nowadays who no longer watch on TV. My favorite past time is to go on a movie and TV series marathon during weekends, and whenever there are several new content online, I browse through all the videos and music available on the many social media and video channels. These, together with so many other online tasks aside from my regular blogging, I could say I spend a great number of hours online almost everyday.
Now that's just me on my laptop and three mobile phones. There's still my wife who always chat with her friends and previous colleagues, and three kids who are equally engaged online doing their own interests like watching anime, playing multiplayer games, etc. That's around 10 devices (tablets, smartphones, laptops) at our home including our Smart TV where we can freely watch online streaming videos anytime.
I'm sure everyone of us would want to stream movies, play video games, listen to music, shop, check e-mail and more - all at the same time. But it would be a total disappointment if we'll just be facing buffering or loading time delays. I hate to watch a movie when it stops every few minutes.
Linksys Philippines now has a solution as they recently launched their newest routers equipped with Qualcomm MU / EFX MU-MIMO technology which helps to provide up to 3X faster speeds.
At a media launch held on October 6, 2016 at the CAI Events Place located in Pasig city, representatives from Linksys Philippines, together with their partners from Converge ICT, MSI Gaming, and Sony Philippines, introduced their two new router models - Linksys Max-Stream AC1900 (EA7500)and AC2600 (EA8500) MU-MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi Routers.
The routers leverages the 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output) for uninterrupted Wi-Fi connectivity to all the devices. It also allows your devices to function as if having their own dedicated routers.

Several demo presentations were shown with 4k video streaming, gaming time with the adorably geeky MSI Gaming brand ambassador Rikki Quiapon, and other activities that we may encounter online.
Kudos also to the cutie host who even posed for us while holding one of the Linksys routers.
There was also live music entertainment while we were having our lunch break before the demo presentation.
Two lucky attendees got to bring home a router each, while 10 early birds, which includes me) got an extra token for their punctuality. I was also among the top three who got many Likes on my Instagram post thus winning me another piece of token for the effort.
Linksys has always been my preferred brand for both home and work. I've personally bought around 5 units of different models throughout the years especially when I was running my own business and I never encountered any problem with these devices.
The only thing that distracts me are the antenna of the routers. This is probably because we've already broken one antenna before when we had to transfer its location when we moved offices. I would suggest they come up with an internal antenna that would be as powerful as an external. Though they say the mobility of angle or direction of the antenna will improve W-Fi access, I'm sure we could soon come up with a technology that would no longer need such distracting antennas to be so prominent.
Also, this technology would apparently be truly successful if we have fast Internet in the first place. Thus Convergence ICT is but right to partner as an option to provide the connectivity. I just hope they would not be degrading the quality of their services to the disadvantage of their customers just as what the other "telcos" have done.
Lately we've witness the other telcos offering so many online services since they all agree that we are on the verge of taking majority of our daily activities online and via mobile access. But this should not tempt them to forsake the online experience of their customers by limiting their access through capping or intentionally slowing down Internet access when a certain limit has been reached. Let's bring back "unlimited" Internet access.
We should also take advantage of the upgrades in technology for our devices such as mobile phones, tablets and laptops from both Sony and MSI Gaming. There are also other devices like the specially featured Sonos mobile speaker that we can operate via online access. Soon, there is no doubt that many more "connected" devices will be introduced and eventually embraced by consumers as technology keeps on evolving and becoming every day part of our lives.
Congratulation Linksys for your new routers!
