Wazzup Pilipinas!
We had an enjoyable #BeOneWithLokal weekend following our visit to the recently-staged Republokal lifestyle exhibition held at the MetroTent in Metrowalk, Pasig City.
The event showcased various wellness and lifestyle brands that are all proudly locally-made, with heavy emphasis and consideration to the products' over-all aesthetics. Thus, on display were a pleasing mix of aesthetically-pleasing, whimsical and unique products that didn't fail to catch the fancy of the event attendees, including us. What's even more noteworthy is that all participating brands are all environmentally-friendly and ethically-made.
Participating were a mix-bag of Republokal-vetted brands, all individually hand-picked and reviewed by the Republokal team, and have even come from different parts of the country.
We would like to thank the brands who gave us samples of their products and will make sure we post selfies together with the items that can be worn (like MDSN Manila's cool T-shirt) or used on special occasions (like traveling to the beach or camping out in the woods with Sidlan's multi-functional bag cum mat cum blanket). For those whose products were food, rest assured we digested them with delight - the taste of your delicacies still lingers up to now.
The performances on the Republokal stage entertained the attendees who were not so busy rummaging on the many interesting finds at the bazaar. I must admit that I was too pre-occupied ogling on the many creative crafts, and would have bought more than what's necessary since it's very rare to find all of these awesome products in one roof, plus being able to get them at discounted prices.
Wazzup Pilipinas had a field day choosing some of our favorites out of all the participating brands. On top of our list are:
1. Sarah's Home - this whimsical brand of room and linen sprays, air fresheners and colognes can uplift your mood with just one spray. Products come in variants like Fresh Bamboo, Green Tea and Vanilla. The team behind Sarah's Home are dedicated in growing their home venture - literally doing all the hard work from product development to packaging to marketing.
2. Jurassic Pot - Whimsical and Environmentally-conscious. Conversation starters and a nice piece for your home. Imagine tiny succulents growing out of neon colored T-Rex. A must buy. And yes, it makes for a perfect housewarming gift.
3. Randoseru from Atelier Marikina - who says you have to go to Japan to have your own randoserus? The pieces from Atelier Marikina are made of 100% leather sourced locally, and dyed with a brilliant shade of pastels.
4. Dear Jamie - Bath bombs and bath soaps using the freshest and best ingredients from nature.
5. Wit's Sweets and Savouries - Healthy and tasty granolas that are perfect for quick breakfasts or meals-on-the-go. Locally sourced ingredients, flavorful convos and good for the body too!
Til next Republokal fair!
