Meals-to-Go: Arlene's Cuisine Knows the Trend of the Near Future

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I hate to admit it, but the signs explicitly shows what would seem to be the trend of the future. Without any doubt, Catering Services, Meals-to-Go or Take Outs, Food Deliveries and everything else similar would be the future of every society.

With condos being the most prevalent means of housing easily accessible to many of our countrymen, there is no room enough for a big kitchen that's conducive to cooking meals, and since condos were designed for a small family basically composed of two to four individuals who would be either working or studying in school most of their waking hours, cooking for a small family may no longer be economically justifiable.

With so many emerging sources of take-out or delivery meals from fast-food outlets, home cooking is in the losing end. With services such as catering, meals-to-go or take outs, food deliveries, etc., easily available, it becomes more convenient to avail of them to accommodate more time for other activities.

Now, what I see that would differentiate these kind of services from each other is the quality and affordability, aside from the actual taste of their cuisine. Being innovative and creative in presentation, marketing and promotions, would also be a plus factor. Truthfully, there are so many great products out there are are not popularly known because of poor marketing due to lower access to resources for promotions or marketing campaigns.

Arlene's Cuisine is a great example of an establishment that may not be as popular as mainstream restaurants that provide the traditional food products from the fast-food to the fine dining scenes, but deserve recognition for offering products that could very well be the trend of the near future, if not already a recognized source of great-tasting home-cooked comfort meals available in microwavable take-out packs that busy homeowners would find a refreshing alternative to cooking.

With several experience in the food business, owners Arlene Arce and Isa Del Rosario should be proud of their baby. Aside from their catering business, I believe they've hit the jackpot in offering several varieties of Meals-to-Go dishes.

One Thursday night at their outlet (and also office) in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, down at the South of Market Condominium at 11th Avenue corner 25th Street, they invited us to try out their Meals-to-Go specialties including Roast Beef (P290), Quail Adobado (P290), Leangua with White Mushroom Sauce (P350) and Paella Valenciana (price varies depending on size). We also tried their specialty Mini Baguettes (P250 per 12 pieces pack) they named as Voila and taste superb with their Dulce De Leche and Herb Butter spreads, the Mushroom Truffle Cream Sauce (P250) on pasta, the Cream of Pumpkin Soup (P250) and of course, it won't be complete without tasting the Arce Ice Cream (Avocado Flavor for P60 per scoop).

My favorite was the Binagoongang Baboy and Dinuguan made from meat and not internal organs.

Needless to say, the night was a sumptuous Spanish and Filipino culinary experience as the dishes served were indeed satisfying. Remember that these dishes came out from their readily available food packaged in microwavable plastic packaging which they took out from their freezers.

The owner said that their food is good up to three weeks, but I don't think it would last that long in our freezer for I would definitely want to consume these tasty gastronomic delights whenever immediately possible because they do offer a filling dining experience. Also take note that each pack is good for two to three people already the making per pack ideal for a small family.

Kudos to this innovative alternative to home cooking. We appreciate the effort to listen to customers' requests for dishes and how they keep coming up with new varieties to continuously attract customer to come back for new offerings.

If you are interested to know more, please check out their Facebook page for more details and updates, or visit them personally at the ground floor of South of Market. I assure you you'll soon find a favorite or two among their many dishes. Do bring home a pack of Voila Mini Baguettes as well which can be cooked easily in an oven toaster.

Thank you Arlene's Cuisine for the wonderful and filling dinner. I would have loved to eat more and request more dishes but the tummy is obviously not big enough to try everything on the menu. Hope to see you again soon.
