Of Independence, Freedom and True Filipino Hospitality
Wazzup Pilipinas!
118 Years of Bitter-Sweet Independence
It was the 12th of June 1898, at the Balcony of the Aguinaldo residence in Kawit, when the general himself waved the first flag of the Philippines and proclaimed the independence of the country from the Spaniards. It was a bitter sweet memory as the Filipino people embraced the freedom and autonomy that many men fought and died for centuries ago – the glory of the first republic.
With some stumbling blocks along our path, here we stand at the dawn of the 16th Republic as the great grandchildren of the generations before us, enjoying the finest wine that aged through time – the wine of Democracy.
Five Years of Freedom, and Two fruitful years of True Filipino Hospitality
It is known to many foreign lands that Philippines is the most hospitable race in the planet. Every Filipino home knows how to esteemed their guest, and provide them with utmost comfort during their visit. This is a trait that made Filipinos remarkable, most especially, in the industry of Tourism and Hospitality.
And in this industry – a highly competitive one – lies a remarkable hotel located in the heart of Ortigas Central business district. A place that provides true Filipino Hospitality at its finest – The Linden Suites.
Established at the onset of the new millennium by Filipino visionaries and pioneers in the hospitality industry, TLS was initially managed by Swiss-Belhotel (a foreign hospitality management company) until the early part of 2011. Taking the operations in-house, the General Manager pursued adopting the same protocols in running the hotel, but using a mixed pool of talents. Until in 2014, the board decided to bring back the true Filipino hospitality through the leadership of the new GM Mr. Dominic A. Dolor. They formed an equally competent (homegrown) management and operations team that run the hotel. The board believed in the strenght and competence of having an all-Filipino team, most especially in the industry of hospitality that is highly dominated by Filipinos globally.
The hotel prides itself with well furnished and rooms equipped with amenities to stage the truest form of Filipino Hospitality – selfless and compassionate. The rooms are spacious, making it perfect for family bonding to strengthen love unity and togetherness. Since Filipinos value the comfort and satisfaction of their guests, the suites are made for the client’s selective taste for comfort, while the Penthouses are built and furnished for an accommodation fit those who require more space and indulgence.
Moreover, the Business centers are well built and maintained, as Filipinos value the importance of a business-conducive location to get things done. Furthermore, TLS Health Club is a testament of how Filipinos value relaxation after a long-day of work.
From accommodation, to dining experience, down to business engagement and after-work pampering in their Health club – The Linden Suites provides the comfort of being at home the Filipino way.
The country of unparalleled hospitality has forged a solid tourism and hospitality industry through the century. An industry that brought foreign and local travelers in its 7,107 islands sprawled in the vast south east region of Asia Pacific.
And in this momentous event celebrating the Independence of the nation, Linden is having a toast to Philippines 118th year of Independence, to the hotel’s 5th year of autonomy, and its 2nd year (and counting) of providing true Filipino hospitality.
