Wazzup Pilipinas!
Congratulations to Health Cube for the formal inauguration of their Health Cube Imaging Center held on May 30, 2016 at the BTTC Centre building located at 288 Ortigas Avenue corner Roosevelt Street, San Juan City.
We were invited to attend the formal opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies of this new clinic which specializes on three services namely Computerized Toography Scan or more popularly known as CT Scan, 3D Mammography and Bone Densitometry.
The new center, already operational early this year, is just a few blocks away from their Greenhills Promenade clinic and offers the mentioned advance medical imaging service to serve their valued clients.
Health Cube is a premier medical facility in the heart of Metro Manila that provides personalized outpatient health care. The newly established imaging center would further enhance the capability of the brand to provide better health services.
The expansion would not stop here as they are looking into establishing similar clinics in other locations.
The grand opening ceremonies were moderated by their VP for Operations, Dra. Julie Ann Lipayon, who introduced key individuals who shared some messages to the attendees. The ribbon cutting was done by Mr. Jaime Dichaves, Dr. William Chua, Ms. Alice Tan and Dr. Romeo Saavedra.
After the opening ceremonies, everyone was treated to a splendid feast from La Tasca catering services.
We also had a tour of the clinic and a short interview with Dra. Julie Ann Lipayon. Please do watch out for it here and at our YouTube channel at http://www.YouTue.com/usr/wazzuppilipinas.
Their 128-slice CT scan has the ability to come up with precise images at high speed, including that of a beating heart. Aside from being able to define normal and abnormal anatomical structures, the CT Scan is now also an important partner for clinicians in monitoring and assessing effectiveness of cancer treatments.
Bone Densitometry, also called dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) is an enhanced x-ray technology that measures the strength of our bones. It can detect serious bone loss, otherwise known as osteoporosis, thus leading to prevention of fracture and disability. It is the standard in checking bone mineral density.

Their 3D Mammography machine is better at detecting changes earlier than regular 2D scans. It can help distinguish superimposed tissue from real abnormalities, leading to less anxiety for women whenever they are due for a breast examination. Also called breast tomosynthesis, this is a new technology that allows physicians to see thin mammography sections of the entire breast and gives clearer image of the breast tissue and decreases the need for further examinations.
Congratulations again to Health Cube for this addition to your ever improving services.
