Wazzup Pilipinas!
Your Pambansang Blog ng Pilipinas aka the National Blog of the Philippines now has its very own coffee table book containing our recent adventures from our Pampanga Hot Air Balloon and Restaurant Tour.
Thanks to Picturebooks, we now have our first book. Yup! We are confident to say that this will not be the only one as we plan to do the same thing for all our grander adventures as they truly deserve to be immortalized into a form that we can flaunt everywhere we go.
Not to boast but it's better to also have something in physical form that we can display during our participation in exhibits, expos, trade fairs, etc., where we are part as a media partner. Since there's just too many stuff online, people would still appreciate to see the actual pictures in something like an album or portfolio.
The interesting fact about the Wazzup Pilipinas coffee table book is that everything inside was taken using the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL smartphone which was lent to us for a few weeks by Microsoft and was used in the coverage of the 20th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta held on February 11 to 14 at Clark airfield in Pamapang, along with our restaurant tour at Yu-Fu-In Yakiniku and Japanese Restaurant, Koko Buri, 1956 Downtown Cafe by Bale Dutung and Mequeni Holiday Inn Clark.
Below are just some of the pages contained in the coffee table book!
Also joining us as sponsors were 1st Draft Manila Cloting who provided us with our Pilipinas design series shirts for the first day, and Froehlich Tours who was our official transport service providing a 12-seater Executive Higer van that took us around Pampanga.
The coffee table book is a glossy hardbounded collection of the photos plus portions of the stories laid out in several glossy pages. I would have wanted to show more but that would make the book too heavy to carry around. Thus, I just selected the best and most crucial photos that would tell the highlights of our adventure in Pampanga. Also, I was very busy with other tasks so it was the best I could do with very little time.
Picturebooks had a software that you can download form their site and used to lay-out the book. There are several selections to choose from where you can customize the appearance of the book. The software will also enable you to send online or thru e-mail the final output ready for printing.
Picturebooks will only take around 7 working days to have everything done and they will send to your mailing address the actual book when ready. We got ours only after 5 working days - that fast!
The cost or printing is relatively cheap as it was only a little above 2k. Now, that's really worth it as the book was everything I hoped for and more. Prices will vary depending on what paper and cover materials are used, and how many pages you will consume.
I highly recommend Picturebooks as a great way to compile and print your precious moments into a great photo book that you can personalize to contain your own words, photos, and other images, or illustrations like logos, word balloons, etc, that would truly be 100% of your own creation.
We are hoping to repeat the opportunity soon as there's plenty more adventures coming our way.
