Wazzup Pilipinas!
From the first Presidential Debate of 2016 elections in Cagayan de Oro City dubbed as PiliPinas Debates 2016, we witnessed how all the presidential candidates are full of flowery words. But it's not HOW you talk about a problem. It's all about HOW you deal with it. At the end of the day, all these proposed projects are nothing but words without the necessary resources.
Grace Poe is in Pia Wurtzbach mode. Girl came prepared. I'm a little bit impressed. If she was applying for a job in a company; she would be great at the interview but the company may hesitate to hire her because of her thin portfolio. Free lunch everyday in public schools? You don't even have enough books and classrooms. Heller, Sen. Poe?!? She would have sealed the deal if she told us where the funding for all her planned programs will come from.
Jejomar Binay was emphasizing on UNDERSPENDING of the Government. He's clearly justifying his corruption of OVERPRICING for his Makati projects. Also, the definition of Political Dynasty is very clear to everyone. Why is he is trying to insinuate that there is a confusion? As per Santiago's statement, the anti-dynasty provision can be found most of all in our Constitution.
Mar Roxas is lot less like the Wharton graduate he claims and had the dirtiest mouth of them all. He may be the most qualified, but he just doesn't leave you impressed. What he said during the debate makes me wonder if he is still qualified for the position. There is truth in what he said about the two kinds of Makati, one that was made prosperous by the Ayalas, and the other one that is still poor and drug-infested. However, on his closing statement, he seems to be implying that we should vote him if we want to be like him. He has been consistent in being narcissistic. Excessively preoccupied with personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity.

Politicians only make promises. But Rodrigo Duterte, he's giving us a promise and himself a deadline. But do you really think 3 to 6 months is feasible? Miriam is obviously his fan when she said "Nobody has done very much against graft and corruption except Mayor Rody Duterte." The thing I dislike the most about Duterte is his unrealistic timelines.
Miriam Defensor-Santiago has seen the same empty promises from politicians in the past, you can see her indignation. I was really hoping for an "Ohhh" reaction from her. I was a bit disappointed she looks and sounds like sick. Her statement "Nag-aantay akong mamatay eh hindi ako pinatay ng guardian angel ko eh..." seemed a bit funny.
Imagine if Santiago ran as Duterte's Vice President instead (or the other way around). How great could they be? After Aldub, surely, the DuRiam loveteam will be phenomenal this year!! Hahaha. Punuin ang Phil Arena!
The debate still left me with questions on certain issues. But a clearer view on the candidates' general plan. The 2016 vote is very important to me because I have children. The country will be what they will inherit based from my vote. But I am just hoping that the results will greatly be based on our votes and not from who counted the votes.

The #PiliPinasDebates2016 was an opportunity to educate the electorate. Instead of bluffing, the presidential candidates should just state their agenda.
You know what our country needs? a mind like Santiago's, discipline like Duterte's and a heart like Poe's. Can Duterte, Santiago and Poe volt in instead? We need a three-in-one kind of these candidates!
Do you want more of Duriam and BinayRoxas bangayan and Poe's flawless speech on the next debates?
I was actually hoping for a two hour debate, not ads, ads, ads. I also hope the next networks to sponsor the upcoming election debates refrain from airing campaign ads during breaks.
"Kung estudyante ang mga presidentiables:
1. Si Binay yung estudyanteng alam mong nagsisinungaling pero hahayaan mo na lang dahil sa child-friendly policy ng DepEd;
2. Si Defensor-Santiago yung estudyanteng kahit hindi magreview, makasasagot pa rin ng mahusay sa recitation;
3. Si Duterte yung estudyanteng pala-mura pero laging may sense pag nagsasalita;
4. Si Poe yung isang buwan bago ang exam, todo rebyu na para mataas ang makuha sa exam; at
5. Si Roxas yung estudyanteng dadramahan ka na lang kasi walang matinong maisagot." - Virgo Gulan
Change has to start from us before we demand it from others. We may not agree with some of the responses or feedback from people after watching the PiliPinas Debates 2016 but we should respect their right to say them.
